What you'll do

Join me in exploring the Ozleworth and Lasborough valleys, two of the most quaint and secluded vales in the Cotswolds. Offering picturesque rolling hills, enchanting valleys and captivating woodland, this is one of the most charming and peaceful walks in the Cotswolds.

We’ll start the walk at the chocolate-box hamlet of Ozleworth near Wotton-under-Edge and we’ll first explore the quaint Ozleworth Park. Boasting picturesque cottages, a Norman church, a stately mansion and tree-lined avenues, Ozleworth Park will enchant you at every twist and turn. We’ll then follow a bubbling stream across the secluded Bagpath valley.

Next, we’ll walk through the enchanting Lasborough Park. Nested in a charming valley, Lasborough Park features a medieval manor house, an imposing farm and stunning parkland, and offers idyllic and picture-perfect scenery. We’ll finally walk through the peaceful and wooded Ozleworth Bottom which is filled with lush trees, earthy colours, gleaming lakes and bubbling waters.

This circular walk is 6 miles long, takes 3 to 3 ½ hours, and includes steep ascents and muddy, overgrown paths. Throughout this walk, I’ll endeavour to share my passion and knowledge of the Cotswolds, and especially, the Ozleworth and Lasborough valleys. Dogs on a lead are welcome. Not suitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs. Additional dates available (message me).

Hi, I’m Sonia and I’m passionate about walking, exploring and travelling. I’ve been a walker my whole life and an experienced hiker for the past 5 years. I’ve walked through the beautiful British countryside, including the Cotswolds, Somerset, the Brecon Beacons, the Lake District and the Scottish Highlands.

I’ve lived in South West England for over 6 years and I’m now based in the South Cotswolds. I manage the travel website A Dragon’s Escape, where I share tips to explore Bath, Bristol, the Cotswolds and beyond.

On weekends, I enjoy escaping to the Cotswolds and the South West region. I fell in love with the Ozleworth and Lasborough valleys two years ago and keep going back to explore further. I now wish to share this corner of paradise with you.

We had a beautiful walk with Sonia in the cotswolds for our last day - a fantastic way to get to know the area with someone who certainly knows her stuff! Sonia was great to talk to, and knew lots about the history of the area and monuments we saw on our walk. She also took the walk at our pace and went above and beyond what was expected. I would highly recommend Sonia's walks to anyone looking for a fun nature filled activity.

Really enjoyed getting out and seeing some of this part of the Cotswolds. Sonia made the walk really interesting by explaining the history of the area and the buildings that we passed along the way.

We had a really lovely hike with Sonia in the Cotswolds. Sonia had given clear instructions about the meeting point and waited for us there. The hike went through a variety of landscapes, starting at a 12th century church. Sonia was very knowledgeable about the places, the local history and economics. We stopped for a break in a beautiful spot with great views. Sonia told us a few amusing anecdotes along the way. Great experience, Great day out. Definitely recommended.

This was the first time we booked an experience through Airbnb and it won't certainly be the last. It was a very enjoyable way of discovering places we couldn't possibly have found by ourselves. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon with Sonia. We found her very approachable, knowledgeable and friendly. We felt at ease and the 4 hours flew by...If you want to see the untouched Cotswolds definitely book a walk with Sonia...
