What you'll do

Learn about Havana as you bike to sights and an urban forest

During this bicycle tour you will learn a lot about Habana, its food, the Cuban daily live, economy, history, culture and reality. All while you ride on two of its most important neighborhoods: El Vedado & Centro Habana. Learn here what can't be find on internet.

On our way we will cross the Almendares River by the Iron Bridge, visit the Habana Forest along its trails, and other touristic and not so touristic places, ending with a great overview of the city. While riding through the different points of interest, we will talk about the history of our nation and people, together with the subjects you ask. All while we enjoy the varied architecture of Habana, its sounds and colors. Multiple restaurants, places to go at night and cool activities will be suggested along the way. At the end, a nice meal at the most Cuban original style will be waiting for us!

A perfect complement for this ride is our longer tour, where you visit Vedado, Center Habana, Old Habana and Casablanca, on the other side of the bay, all in one route:

We are two friends—a programmer and an art historian—who share the same passion of riding bicycles throughout Havana with our friends.

We have another tour to the other side of the bay, "Ride to the Fortresses of Havana":
www.airbnb.com/experiences/261486

We are part of MountainCuba bicycle touring project, created by the entrepreneur Luis in march, 2016. We simply love bicycles, cycling, and any related with it!

We use specialized type bikes. Specifically, high-end mountain bikes. Very comfortable and adequate for all terrains, and also, for Havana streets.

Where you'll be

El Vedado and Centro Habana neighborhoods are 2 of the more important areas of the city, together with Old Havana. And it has a lot to be seen!

As we make our way, you will see the Malecon Habanero—the broad coastal road, the Havana University, the Havana Forest, the Revolution Square, the Almendares River, the Colon Cemetery and beyond.
At the end of the tour you will know a lot more about our beautiful and eclectic Habana.

This is our second trip to Havana and second trip taking this bike tour. I scheduled ig for my daughter and her friends since I knew what to expect from before. The tour was fantastic and I highly recommend it for future visitors.

I had a great time on this adventure.. The entire ride lasted about 3 hours. We traveled through various points in Habana, through the forest, to a local chocolate shop and then to a fruit juice stand where we were treated to a delicious fruit treat. I would recommend trying their bike tour. However, make sure you can ride a bike for a few hours. You don't want to keep the group behind. Thanks guys!

Highly recommended. Luis and his friend Abraham gave a great tour of spots we would not have made it to otherwise. We were able to take great photos of many different areas of town. The whole experience felt very high quality and the bikes were great (even had disc brakes!). Bikes are a great way to get around Havana!

I am glad I did this when I first got to Habana, as Luis will show you places so cool you will definitely want to revisit them later on in your trip. I brought my mother along on this tour, which was a little difficult for her (there are some light off roading and inclines), but Luis and his work partner were extremely accommodating to her. The meet up location was easy to find and get to. Luis is very professional and friendly. He adjusted the bicycles and helmets for us to wear and provided us water before the trip. He introduced himself and the others on the tour so we were able to get to know each other a bit before heading on our way. We learned a lot about what locals do and some of the religions practiced on the island, which I found very interesting. Both of them speak good English. Thank you for making this an awesome trip for both my mother and I.
