Walk to the Peak for the city lights

Central, Hong Kong

Experience hosted by Alfred

3.5 hours
Up to 6 people
Hosted in English, Chinese (Simplified)

What you'll do

We walk to the the long Central–Mid-Levels Escalator, which carry us through narrow streets crowded with colorful shops and restaurants, up the hills to the upper class residential areas.

At the top of the escalator, we'll walk on roads and trails lined with trees, rising up gradually above the skyscrapers around us. The footpath is free of cars and you'll feel like inside a forest. There is a supermarket for us to buy food and drinks to eat on the way.

At the Peak, we'll walk along a footpath winding along the slope overlooking the city and Victoria Harbor below us.

We'll take a bus/taxi back and arrive Wan Chai or Central at 9 p.m.

We'll walk at moderate speed so the average adults can feel comfortable and easy.

This is a interesting walk to the Peak. The escalators will send us up to 120 meters above sea level. Then the roads and trails going up are winding and gentle. So we can go up to 400 meters above sea level easily.

*All food, drinks and travelling are in your own expenses.
*Bring an Octopus card with stored value $20 for the travelling fee.
Other things to note

We are two local Hong Konger, we joined Alfred's tour since we have to finish a school project related to Hong Kong tourism lol As a Hong Konger, I would say that Alfred is the best guide I have ever seen. He is knowledgeable and super nice. He bought us to a route that even local Hong Konger may not know. We saw Hong Kong night view in a new perspective. Highly commended! It's a MUST DO experience in Hong Kong!

Alfred provided a great tour. He knows everything about Hong Kong, and constantly provided a great commentary on our walk to the summit where the view of HK is truly spectacular. He has a very nice sense of humour and was a great companion. Highly recommend.

I couldn't recommend this tour more. Awesome hike to the top. Alfred was very patient and friendly. I was alone and he still took time to go into details. He was kind of a personal photographer too. He's knowledge of the city is priceless.

Had a great experience. The view was spectacular and Alfred accommodated me even when I was the only one on the tour due to the (corona)virus scare. The walk up was enjoyable as well. It was peaceful and you get to enjoy the view on different levels as you go along the trail. Well worth it!
