What you'll do

We'll meet you in Vietri sul mare, behind the famous and iconic building of "ceramica Solimene", From there
we'll start our social walk to "San Liberatore" mountain that, with its distinctive cross, dominates Vietri and embraces the gulf of Salerno.
During the 3 hour walk , I will tell you more about Vietri while enjoying the landscape characterized by rich Mediterranean vegetation, breathing in salubrious air and especially admiring the view of the Tyrrhenian sea.
Just before reaching the top, we'll encounter the ancient convent of "Cristo Re Liberatore" dating back to the VIII century - we know some local curiosities about it!
On the way back we'll stop in a tipical little farm where we can finally rest and enjoy the fantastic meal together with the very nice owners.
We'll be tasting some km 0 products from the farm along with some tipical product from our region.

My name is Vittoria and I'm a tour leader (accompagnatore turistico) from Vietri sul Mare. My husband, Marco, was born in Sardinia and lives in Vietri sul mare. We are in love with this small pretty village sourrounded by so much nature: the sea on one side and mountains on the other. Whenever we can, we take the chance to walk around the beautiful paths that this coast offers. We love spending time in the open air, in contact with nature as it gives us a different perspective on life and fills us with a lot of different emotions. We are excited to show as many guests as possible this magical place!

Where you'll be

Our meeting point is Vietri sul Mare, known for its polychrome ceramics tradition and for being the gateway to the Amalfi Coast.
Mount "San Liberatore" embraces much of Salerno's territory: from the far Cilento to Piana of Paestum, from the south of Vietri and the Amalfi Coast to the west and the nearby town of Cava de' Tirreni. We will see a sanctuary dedicated to Christ the King and a large iron cross at the top of the mountain.

Vittoria and Marco are a wonderful couple to spend an afternoon with. They are genuine, friendly, and very enjoyable to spend time with. Thank you for the amazing picnic after the hike in a peaceful setting.

Vittiria i Marco to wspaniali ludzie, a sama ekspedycja jedyna w swoim rodzaju.

The hike wasn't too hard, but it was a workout. Nothing you can't handle. We even met 2 furry friends that joined us on the hike. The views were amazing definitely something we'll remember for a very long time. Vittoria and Marco were great. They carried a conversation with us the whole time. We were able to learn about each other and our cultures. This was an everlasting memory with new friends. We highly recommend taking this experience; one you will never forget.

Vittoria & Marco are very friendly and engaging companions with lots of knowledge about the local area. The hike itself is fairly easy, with a beautiful view of Salerno and the Mediterranean Sea at the top. Afterward, we were treated to a wonderful picnic of local foods that left us wanting to move to Viatre! Thanks Vittoria & Marco!

My husband and I really enjoyed this nature walk with a picnic to finish off. Our tour guides were great and really gave a full understanding of the area. We would do it again next time we are in Italy.
