What you'll do

I welcome you to my sake tasting experience in Kyoto.
Fushimi area is famous not only Fushimi inari but also sake production!
Kyoto is the 2nd biggest production in Japan. Basically, Kyoto's sake tastes sweet because of soft water.

We'll explore three of my favorite breweries, a sake shop, and a local bar.
I'm passionate about sake, and I’d like to share with you the process of sake making, comparing different kinds and brands.
You will taste the differences between sakes—the highest quality, unfiltered, unpasteurized, and many other seasonable sakes.

[Please note]
-Include-
Sake guide in English, around 10 kinds of sake sampling at each , entrance sake museum, souvenir sake bottle 180ml

-NOT include-
Extra sake tasting and snacks, If you have a budget 2,000 yen to 3,000 yen more, you will try over 30 kinds of sake.

We'll visit a small brewery, a middle size brewery, and a big brewery. The oldest is founded almost 400 years ago! You will get to know the production method in the sake museum. In a small brewery, you will get a feel for the deliciousness by actually tasting freshly made sake.

Finally, we'll visit a fancy bar where guests called a hidden gem.

Hi, I've done sake sommelier course of Sake Service Institution. I'm excited to help you discover everything I know about sake. I started up Kampai Sake Tours (Crew Mirai & Yurina) after backpacking around the world. I grew up in the city of Nara, and I love to go on adventures.
I started this experience because I want to share my knowledge of, and love for, sake. I gained a lot of intel from a friend who works in a sake brewery, and became absolutely passionate. I love this kind of work because I get to meet new people and learn new perspectives every day.

Where you'll be

We'll meet in front of the ticket gate of Momoyama goryoumae station on Kintetsu line. We will visit at least 4 places to try sake. The shrine is famous for good water in 6 century and learn how to pray. I will show you the smallest brewery to the biggest brewery in Japan. We will try many kinds of sake such as unpasteurized, cloudy sake, seasonable, fruity and more. Finally we go to fancy foodcourt to try all kinds of sake in this area.

This tour was fantastic! Not only was it a sake tour but also a cultural tour, so I learned so many interesting facts. The tour visited places that would have been impossible to find otherwise. Learning about sake and visiting the various breweries was an incredible experience. My guide was amazing! I would definitely recommend this tour!

Had an excellent tour going through different breweries, learning about the history of sake, and of course lots of samples. I highly recommend for anyone who wants to learn about sake or even just spend a fun afternoon in the area.

Amazing experience! My host was Tess who is lovely. She shared a lot of cultural knowledge with me beside sake and I had a great time. I couldn’t have done this myself.

Muy buena experiencia, aprendimos bastante sobre sake, sus diferencias y procesos. Yuki nos entregó un ambiente muy distendido y de confianza. ¡Recomendable!
