What you'll do

Bring your photography skills to a next level while discovering the old bazaars, khans, metal workshops where gold, silver or bronze melted on fire.
You'll see & photograph some extraordinary places while you learn pro tips and practice side by side with former NatGeo editor and photojournalist. It's not just about taking pictures and seeing places, I'll also teach you how to think like a pro.
We'll start by discovering little known corners of the Grand Bazaar before visiting old traveler inns and feel the medieval atmosphere. These places have witnessed the trade by caravans during Ottoman and even Roman times; today they host craftsmen who are practicing their crafts in the most traditional way behind closed doors. We'll have exclusive access to take pictures while artisans perform their craft. Expect to see workshops where gold is melted on fire and artisans engrave on silver & copper; if lucky, we may even witness big amounts of brass or silver casted.
Depending on the season & the weather we may finish the tour on a rooftop with an amazing view of the city or at a cafe with a history that goes back to 17th century where we can photograph the locals smoking nargile.
Other things to note
Brass and silver casting workshops work on schedule and aren't available every day. But we'll see at least one -or more- casting workshop (gold, aluminum, silver, bronze or brass) during o

Where you'll be

We'll stroll the streets of the Bazaar to find the best angles & hidden corners before visiting the most interesting 16th & 17th c. traveler inns (khans). At khans, the merchants kept their animals, spent the night & traded with other merchants.
We'll have exclusive access to workshops where gold, silver or bronze is melted on fire & casted, the same way as they've been doing for centuries. We'll finish @a rooftop or @a traditional hookah cafe.
