What you'll do

I will guide you in your transformation into a real mermaid. You’ll learn how to swim with a mermaid tail while getting a great core workout at the same time. First I’ll teach you techniques for mono-fin and synchronized swimming. We’ll end the class with some fun photos. Come and join me on a fun new twist on the classic pool party.
Other things to note
Please bring a swimsuit, towel, goggles, lock, flip flops and camera (underwater camera suggested).
Guests are welcome to watch the class in the viewing area located beside the pool.

Where you'll be

The class will take place at the North Toronto Memorial pool. Located at 9 minutes walk (700meters) from the Eglinton subway station. Located on Eglinton Avenue between Yonge & Avenue Road. Accessible parking spots paid Covered garage - $1.00/hr (inside the pool building). When you enter the building enter the changing rooms and meet us on the pool deck. Your instructor will be on the pool deck with a blue Aquamermaid T-shirt.

This was such a lovely experience for my daughter Connie who is 16 and autistic. Although we didn’t meet Marielle in person she was very accommodating in agreeing that Connie could join a lesson. As it turned out Connie had a private lesson with two of Marielle’s colleagues who were just lovely, friendly and patient. The lesson takes place in a pool used by the general public but this didn’t pose a problem. Everybody was doing their own thing and very accepting that they were sharing the pool with a mermaid:)

Good experience, but I was disappointed by the pool. The swimming pool was crowded which made it difficult to swim without bumping into people. It's really too bad because it left a bitter taste to the experience.

This was a really fun and different experience I enjoyed being able to learn how mermaids swim with some cool and diverse people! It was an amazing time!

What a unique and amazing experience. I got this as a Christmas gift for my sister and it went above and beyond very friendly and super fun. Nice small groups and they take there time with people who were struggling and let those who got it quick to do there own thing while bringing interesting challenges. You won't regret it!

Having only heard of this before, and not being a great swimmer myself, I was hesitant at first. That hesitation has proven foolish, this was exhilarating when I wanted it to be, and relaxing when I needed it to be. A must try, and quite likely you'll fall in love with it.
