Olivier was amazing as our host. We are here in Lyon for our honey moon and the tour was the perfect treat. Olivier is smart, well rounded, polite and respected COVID safety measures throughout the entire tour. He is very knowledgable about Lyonais food, culture and history and my husband and I learned a lot. The food we tried was lovely (cheese, traditional bouchon fare, saucissons, wine and chocolate) and the owners of the locations were very welcoming. Olivier's English is excellent. Great experience. Highly recommend!!!

We were a group of 5 and Megane, our guide did an amazing job of sharing with us as much history about Lyon (the architecture, gastronomy culture, geographic history) during our time together. A born and bred Lyonnaise, she was super passionate and knew what she was talking about! We enjoyed her personal stories such as how she would argue with her grandfather about whether it was red or white wine that should be had while having cheese :) We ate helllllllla lot and I must say the Saint Marcelin and comté were excellent. So were the saucisson brioché and rosette! Even better is that at the end of the trip, each of us received a flyer with discounts to each establishment we had visited and of course I went running back to the fromagerie!! I wholeheartedly recommend this food tour and couldn’t have done better! Thank you :)

The host was fluent in english and explained everything very well.

By and far, this was the most value priced tour I have ever participated in. Pleasant, informative, engaging and obviously full of delicious delicious bites (and sips!) Do yourself a favour and take this tour … and take it as close to the beginning of your stay in Lyon as possible. Oh! And take it on an empty stomach too. There is a very generous amount of food that you will be sampling. During our tour with Pauline – who was an incredibly knowledgeable and charming host – we sampled a very nice range of traditional food. Cheeses, charcuterie, bouchon menu classics/staples, chocolates and sweets. The menu goes on … As we walked from place to place, exploring the traboules (you’ll see!) Pauline shared her knowledge of the city and its history. She had a contagious amount of passion and excitement for the culture that is Lyon. She didn’t hesitate to make recommendations for the rest of our holiday and she even took us off course to show us a silk weaving shop that she thought could not be missed. Quite the bonus experience! I can’t stress enough how much I think everyone will enjoy this tour. And how positively I think it will impact your entire impression of Lyon. Thank you, Pauline – we won’t forget you!

The tour was very fun and Pauline was very knowledgeable. She explained the significance of certain Lyonnaise foods and we got the opportunity to speak directly with shopkeepers to learn more about their product. It was very unique and I highly recommend the tour if you want to see and eat things specific to Lyon.
