What you'll do
Whistler features safe and calm roads with killer hill climbs to look-outs over the Valley. Forget your GPS, asking for directions, and avoid congested road. Your local pro will take you on a scenic 52 km ride with plenty of rolling terrain, hills with an average grade of 6 to 7% and an elevation gain of 1,500 mts, all without leaving Whistler.
We'll stop at various look-outs to have the most scenic pictures of Whistler while I share the best local's secrets over a refreshing drink.
Other things to note
Briefing starts at 9am outside Lift Coffee Company, located on skiers plaza at the base of Whistler mountain. Bring your road bike (own or rental) and all your equipment, must bring your own helmet.

For decades Whistler has been something of a hidden secret for world-class road riding. In 2013 I decided to take a bike and dig into the secret that Whistler and the Sea to Sky had to offer. In the past 4 years I have successfully completed four GranFondos and have turned my inquisitiveness into a passion. I am known as the only Canexican (Mexican living in Canada) who knows the secret roads from Vancouver to Lilloet. I am a board member in the local cycling club, a CyclingBC certified ride leader, an active community leader, and a passionate rider who loves to share.

Where you'll be
We will be riding paved back roads most of the time. Depending on your riding ability, we will be riding on Whistler's renowned Valley Trail system to safely transit between back roads and climbs. While there are many ride routes on the Sea to Sky corridor, we will stay within Whistler for this experience. Check out my weekend Pemberton ride experience if you are comfortable riding on the road for more than 3 hours.
