What you'll do

"Ohanami” (flower viewing) is the Japanese traditional custom of enjoying the transient beauty of flowers. From the end of March to early May, cherry trees bloom all over Japan. In modern-day Japan, hanami mostly consists of having an outdoor party beneath the sakura during the daytime or at night.
Guests will meet at the Osaka Makerspace and we will gather our supplies and go the the Kozu
-no-miya park in front to have a picnic. We will talk about the traditions surrounding Sakura and the surrounding area.
Other things to note
Please bring your camera to take beautiful sakura pictures.
If the weather is not good or cold then please bring and wear warm clothes.
Please let me know if you have any food allergies in advance.

Ryan and Fumi were very friendly and welcoming. They are very knowledgeable and we learnt a lot about Japanese culture during our time with them. We made traditional tuna and egg rice triangles for snacks. That was a lot of fun. We saw the Sakura during the night and walked around the local shrine. Thank you Ryan and Fumi!
