I would not recomend this if you are an experienced rider! We had to go with complete beginners, which was not fun at all. We thought there was gonna be two groups atleast. The ride to/from the beach was maybe 2hours, to get ready for the ride was 30min and the ride on the beach was 20min maximum. To pay 120euros for that felt way to much, and not worth it. We were very dissapointed, would not recomend this.

Firstly. The host listed, Judy, wasn’t who I had as a host upon arrival. Instead I had her granddaughter-a sweetheart who was very entertaining to talk to-she was probably the best part of the experience besides the horse riding itself. She was prepared to adjust the ride based on all riders and their experience level, didn’t rush anyone and was very helpful with a trial run before taking the horses out of the pin. She offered riding boots to anyone not wearing boots or that didn’t want to get their own boots dirty. And riding helmets were required-as well as signing a paper saying you will do as she says and your riding experience. And once on the beach she offered to take pictures of each rider on their horse. My problem with the experience came from the fact that the meeting place is so far from any buses and the few buses that run to/from the meeting place. If you do this tour-you MUST rent a car-keep in mind the meeting point is another hour&1/2 away from Galway and that rental car places schedules change up randomly. I signed up for the morning 3 hour ride at 1000, and according to my travel app-I’d arrive there at 0917. But at 0910 my bus was barely arriving at Galway from Dublin (2 hour ride). I immediately started messaging ‘judy’ hoping she’d know of a way to get me to the meeting point in time-all she could say was I could ride later-After she checked if there was an opening. She made it sound like I could just squeeze into the evening 1.5 hour ride. So I rented a car just to get there for 200ish€. Then she tells me to sign up for the event on AirBnB and pay the $90ish for the evening ride even though I’d already paid for the $130ish morning ride AND rented a car just to get to the meeting point and a 26€ round trip bus fare from Dublin. Upon my arrival-the horses are still in their stables-from what I could see of-no preparation that was made that could’ve cost me the extra $90 on top of what I’d already paid. Then as I said, I was taught the basics. Turn left, right. Go forward. Stop. And how to trot. Then we went down the road and down some back roads to a very short beach. Where we walked (or trotted) back and forth. From one end to the other and back before retreating back to the meeting point (stable). I don’t regret doing this event-I just don’t think it was worth the $470 I spent on it. That being said. I’m not saying don’t do it. I’m just saying to make sure that if you plan on doing it-you make sure to rent a car (not last minute) and map your trip to arrive early before your scheduled time.
