What you'll do

Hands down the best Arab food tour in the city!

This tour brings you samples of the most authentic traditional Emirati meals over a multi course dinner walk.

We will weave through the Spice Souk where you can see and smell the amazing mix of regional products. Sip warm tea as you glide across the creek in a private boat, basking in the views. Then we will enjoy Emirati classic dishes in an restaurant that operates out of the first office building in Dubai. Along the way your guide will offer commentary on the historical surroundings. Finally, enjoy main courses in the oldest neighborhood in the city, where you will enjoy dishes fit for a sheik!

By the end of this tour, you will be an expert at local cuisine and have the knowledge about the dishes and why they remain so popular. All the while, you will have explored the old markets and lanes of the original fishing and pearling village.

*Minimum booking of 2 is recommended.*

On a long layover in Dubai so we decided to book the Walking Food Tour of Old Dubai. We are so glad we did! Communication from the company was excellent and we were able to meet up with our guide, Pri, no problem. Pri is very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. She taught us about the fascinating history and current culture of Dubai. She knew the answer to every question our group of 6 asked. Our stop in the spice market was a very interactive experience with lots of smells and tastes. We took a short boat ride across Dubai creek and stopped for appetizers at a restaurant located in a historic building. This included a wide sample of traditional Emirati appetizers, which were wonderful. We walked through the textile market, a Hindu street, and the Dubai museum before having our main course and dessert at a traditional Emirati restaurant. The food was amazing! We highly recommend this tour. Thank you, Pri, for a truly great experience!

We spent a lovely few hours being shown around historic Deira and the souks in Dubai. Pri is a hidden treasure and a joy as a dining companion. We sampled starters by Dubai creek with turmeric Arabic tea to taste on the way across on the abra ( boat). A lovely walk through the spice souk follows on our way to our main course restaurant where the food and atmosphere were fantastic. And what better way to end a food tour of Dubai but with camels milk ice cream. Thanks again Pri for a fab day and your gifts to us at the end were so unexpected but a perfect memento of a lovely day and thankyou so much. If you get chance go on a tour with Pri , you won’t be sorry .

What a fantastic and unique experience, to be shown around Central Dubai by someone who has lived there for years and immersed in its culture. Pri answered all my many questions and had great knowledge of the history and culture of Dubai to share with us. There was plenty of delicious food, I'm glad we skipped lunch!
