What you'll do

This is an experience that works well with social distancing we will meet and stay in the open air.
Be prepared to be surprised as we explore a London you would not normally find, an area where through time people have lived and worked by the London Docks long before gentrification.
An area decimated by the Blitz and slum clearance, but where a surprising amount of history still remains.
Through Mile End Park, developed for the millennium, towards the River Thames and if the tide is out we can walk on the foreshore, if the pubs have re-opened we could stop for a drink in Gandalf's own Pub or if you are a family group, at Gordon Ramsey's restaurant and then walk on to the Prospect of Whitby.
After this the nearest station just five mins away will take you back to Central London.
There are variety of different walks from one to four miles also on offer and plenty of photo opportunities to record your visit.
Walks are pre scheduled for Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays but as my company name suggests I can organise a bespoke walk, just for you and your friends, through Airbnb Experiences at a time to suit you.
You will need to book a scheduled date and then just contact me to alter the date and discuss your needs.
Other things to note
I am a Genealogist, Historian, Airbnb Host & experienced walker. From the station and over coffee we can discuss the best walk for you, art and history, canals and parks or historic riverside pubs.

I am an Airbnb Host and run a genealogy business, Bespoke London East End Family History Walks, and love to show clients where their relatives would have lived and worked in the East End of London.
My knowledge of the area comes from my own genealogical journey having researched my own London East End family over many years.
I will suggest a meeting point, normally Mile End Station, where we can enjoy a tea/coffee and a chat before our walk.
***Family Groups*** catered for in these Covid times. ***SCHOOL HOLIDAY OFFERS*** Children over 10 can come along for free - book for the adults and message me with the extra numbers when you book.

The experience we had with Diane walking through east London Docks was a very special experience. We arrived late, which was an estimating error on our part but Diane was calm and welcoming. It was a very hot day and our host was very accommodating in tailoring the pace to suit. Diane was pleasant, polite and very knowledgeable; she included personal stories and factual events which added to the magic of the afternoon. It really felt as if we were travelling back in time. The route chosen was brilliant; having lived in London most of my adult life; I came across areas and information which was all new to me. We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon and would note hesitate to recommend Diane and her experience to anyone interested in London, London history nature, easy stroll and just experiencing the beauty of London. Thank you Diane

Diane is very knowledgeable and you can feel her passion for the topic of the tour. I got to see a different London off beaten tourist tracks. Docklands are mandatory to visit from my pov. Thanks for this amazing tour.

No vi otro tour parecido.
