What you'll do

We'll start by finding the correct size fatbike for you to cycle. Our tour starts at the 17th century ruin of Belmont House, adjacent to Arthur's Barn (the actual film set for King Arthur the 2004 movie starring Clive Owen) both of these landmarks are in the middle of 900 acres of unspoiled forest and farmland that have been nurtured by the Brabazon family since the 16th century.
We head towards the forest where a quick blast on the outdoor pump track to get your biking and balance skills dialled-in and after this it's through the Silent Bogwood forest and up onto Bray Head.
From the top of Bray Head the views of Greystones to the South, Bray and Dublin to the North, across the Irish Sea towards Wales and West over the Wicklow Mountains are unparalleled. We then head back down from Bray Head to hit some groomed single track trails in the Silent Bogwood and if there's time up onto the Little Sugar Loaf Mountain as well.
Other things to note
All you need to bring is your camera, an energy snack or 2, some cash for a coffee & cake, padded cycling shorts (nice to have but not essential) and last but not least your sense of adventure.

I was born and raised in Africa so spending time outdoors is essential. Being able to show people around Wicklow is a huge privilege, the scenery is spectacular and the people incredibly friendly.
I've been riding bikes off-road in Ireland's garden county since moving to live here from the UK over 10 years ago. Learning to ride a bike is a life skill and I think is one of the best ways to spend time with your friends and family, it's also WAY safer than cycling on the roads dodging traffic.

What a great morning, the route and trails were fast and exciting, the scenery was amazing, even with the mist. The equipment was superb and Magic was a fun and well versed tour guide. We all really enjoyed it and are all planning on going back again soon.

Great family day out, we really enjoyed it! We have never experienced electric bikes before - great fun and they really help you to get up those tough hills! Probably not for the faint-hearted but we were really well guided through all the bumpy bits! Would definitely recommend!

Could not recommend highly enough. Took two 11 year old boys with me. Don’t know who enjoyed it more. Absolutely fantastic day out. Electric bikes great fun. Good bit of exercise peddling as usual but able with assist from the motor you are able to climb hills easily and cover some decent ground. Stunning views, good mix of trails, great fun. Will definitely be back.

We just had a wonderful day with Ian of fatbike adventures. Would recommend it to anyone with a flare for mountain biking or hiking. We went to the top of Bray head and all around the forest ways and back over and up again onto the sugar loaf!! Covered a lot of ground in a half day. We used electric bikes which basically propel you up the hills but still need a bit of pedaling too so we also got a good workout in today. All in all left feeling very good! Will be booking again soon.

The fat biking is a really unique way to see the countryside. It's challenging but in the right kind of way. As the bike is electric, there was great support going up hills. Ian was an awesome your guide and we would highly recommend the experience. Myself and my girlfriend would be interested in doing it again for sure!
