What you'll do

The Vintage Harlem Jazz Haunts: Experience a Special Jazz Night and Journey! This tour begins at 4:30pm, with an engaging visit of the Jazz Museum of Harlem, which will supply rare jazz artifacts and the aura to set the tone.

Next you'll EXPERIENCE some of the wonderful enclaves and forces that kept Jazz in Harlem and Lindy Hop/Swing Dance Culture all creative and connected. We will walk thru Harlem and visualize the times, the places, the struggles and the successes of the History makers. You'll better sense of the times and people by seeing where Jazz icons lived, worked and played along Harlem's vivid landscape of the 20's thru 40's.

This engaging and interactive tour culminates near Harlem's famed Sugar Hill area, with Live Jazz and exquisite cuisine at Home Sweet Harlem Bistro in the historic Manhattanville area!

About the organisation: The Harlem Swing Dance Society



The Harlem Swing Dance Society (THSDS) is the premiere non profit organization in Harlem promoting, preserving, propagating and protecting Harlem's signature cultural dance of the Lindy Hop. Our outreach is done by FYI sessions, lessons, lectures, tours, performances, workshops and more to bring awareness to forms of swing dance culture. We happily collaborate with Harlem institutions & staples.

This is a social impact experience where 100% of what you pay for this experience goes to The Harlem Swing Dance Society.

The National Jazz Museum in Harlem is a thriving center for jazz that stimulates hearts and minds, and reaches out to diverse audiences to enjoy America's quintessential music art form.
