I´m a marine biologist, explorer and entrepeneur. My main focus is on sharks research, and I specialized in hammerhead sharks. With my background as biologist, scientific and recreational scuba diver and my passion for the ocean, I want to share the natural wonders of Baja, with people that are looking far more than just a simple tour. Great experiences enriched with knowledge and adventure.

Pete is a wonderfully informed guy, his english is great and he is very likeable. I think this excursion should be titled differently as it currently refers to 2 different excursions and its a bit misleading. We booked thinking we would go see sea lions, but in fact that is a challenging kayaking experience which did not seem to fit our skills, so we went to balandras beach and kayaked thru a small mangrove, which didnt fulfill our desire to see animals, except several birds which were also easily available to see perched on rocks all around the area. Balandras Beach is exceptionally beautiful and Pete was a wonderful guide full of knowledge from the aquatic flora and fauna to a wide array of eco issues facing the Baha today.

We had a great morning of kayaking with Pete! We paddled out to a small island that was covered with sea lions and pelicans. Got out of our kayaks there and snorkeled around, checking out the coral reef and some colorful fish. The sea lions weren’t concerned about us, and a few of them swam close to us at times. Pretty cool! We padded from there to an isolated beach where it was just us; had lunch, a quick hike, and a swim, then it was time to paddle back to where we started. All in all, we had a great day with Pete and the other family who joined us on the excursion. Pete was kind, knowledgeable, and patient. We’re in reasonably good shape, but are definitely not huge kayakers. We got a great workout, but had no trouble finishing the trip. When we signed up for the trip, Airbnb showed the timing as 12:30-4:30PM. Pete communicated with us ahead of time to say that we would need to leave at 7:30AM. We were flexible, so this was no problem for us. If you’re on a tighter schedule, you might just confirm the timing first. We had a great morning with Pete, and I highly recommend this experience!
