I am a former Cocoa and Coffee trader with over seven years experience and would buy cocoa for some of the worlds largest chocolate manufacturers. I have been to Colombia in South America many times as my wife is Colombian. I have seen it growing and have worked for a large Japanese Trading company in London, trading on the London and New York futures markets. Also my father was a Coffee & Cocoa grader at the exchange and my uncle was in the Cocoa industry also. I would attend the (ICCO) meetings in London on behalf of the largest Japanese trading firms. So Chocolate flows through my veins.

We will visit two Royal suppliers to the Queen and the most awarded Chocolatier in the world who has been a judge on the UK Apprentice final. I love showing people where the finest Artisan Chocolatiers in London are and teaching the group about my passion.

First off, very well organised. It was quite easy to meet up with Paul thanks to the clear instructions. The tour itself takes in some of London's best chocolatiers, and one thoroughly enjoyed the free samples! Paul knows a lot about chocolate ( and coffee!) and he conducts the tour without sounding preachy. I also appreciated his pointing out other places of interest along the way, and I cannot wait to return to sample some of those gelatos.... All in all, a lovely way to take in some of London's lesser known marvels.

Great experience that would be difficult to replicate! The shop owners knew Paul and we couldn’t have done this on our own. Pro tip: wear good walking shoes, and bring a scarf for the wind; you’ll be walking outside a lot. Get a hot chocolate at Paul Young’s shop!

Truly enjoyed this walking tour with Paul. He showed us many other places to go along our route and gave us great suggestions to come back to later for eating and drinking. His chocolate knowledge is excellent and he is very entertaining as well. I learned so much that I never knew about chocolate and how it’s grown and made. And the samples along the way were fabulous. I would highly recommend this experience.

I really enjoyed the tour. It was great we got to try stuff in all the shops and Paul and the staff at the various shops were knowledgeable and helpful. If you’re anything like me you’ll probably end up spending quite a few pounds on chocolate!

Paul showed us several best chocolatier places in London, we strolled from Mayfair to Soho, tasting beautiful truffles and chocolates. Each shop has a unique offering and style. They obviously know Paul and welcome us in a very warm fashion. Not only did Paul carry out a wonderful explanation about chocolate, but also some shop assistants came to explain us knowledge and taste of their chocolates. It is a wonderful way to spend our Sunday, knowing more and tasting and seeing very nice shops and chocolate. Paul also gave out many recommendations about restaurants and gelato places, a bonus of the experience!
