Goats are my passion! I have been raising and caring for goats for 15 years, every single day! Our goats are our pets and we spoil them with love and affection. Gina teaches courses in cheese making, raising goats, and how to raise chickens. Our goats are the main event here at the Mountain Goat Lodge B&B and Dairy Goat Farm. You will soon see why as soon as you meet them. All the goats have names, and personalities to match. Try some of the goat milk products we make. Meet our pet chickens and ducks.
Gina breeds swiss dairy goats and uses the milk to make and sell cheese, milk and yogurt. The baby goats are sold as future milkers and packers. Every spring we have baby goats and for a few months on Saturdays, we hold goat yoga classes. Unfortunately, we do not have baby goats or goat milk in the middle of winter.

This is a great little adventure near the small town of Salida. Gina and her husband have created a haven for goats and people alike. Friendly and knowledgeable. A very good time.

Gina has an incredible connection and knowledge of animals. You can tell she has been around animals her whole life and considers every single living thing on her farm a member of her family. She started the tour with educational info about the animals and then we toured the entire farm, met the goats, chickens, ducks, llama (haha), and walked through her greenhouse and available accommodations. We were offered hot beverages upon arrival and samplings of cheeses after the tour. We had no idea the farm is also a B & B with like four different types of accommodations ranging from super budget friendly to honeymoon night, and will definitely be back to stay. Oh, and what a view! Gina is funny, engaging, and welcoming. What a great morning! 😊

Fun activity during our quick vacation. The goats were nice and friendly. Probably a bit more cute when there are kids (goats, not children) there in the spring but still very interesting.

Gina's tour was excellent and super personalized. It was great to see the lodge amenities - the rooms, trailers, and tipi accommodations. Absolutely loved the stories about the goats and animals on site as well as being able to experience what goat care looks like.
