We will stroll around the park together where we will make various stops to discover a legend, an urban story or a history fun fact! The park is huge but we will stop at the main interesting sights! On our way: a lake, botanic gardens, a zoo, a rosary... but no spoiling here! ;-) Join me to discover what's so amazing about the history of this park!

Hi! My name is Sarah! I'm a 37-year-old lyonnaise who loves greeting people from all over the world in the beautiful city of Lyon! I am a big street art lover (see my other Airbnb experience called "Lyon Street Art Tour") but also a nature lover! When I'm in need of quiet time, I know where to go: the amazing "Parc de la Tête d'Or", our very own "central park"!
My endless curiosity and passion for history have led me to dig into the history and legends of the park, especially the ones that are less known! I'm looking forward to sharing them with you! So, come and join me for a stroll in the park and expect a fun and "legendary" experience! ;-)

Where you'll be

The Parc de la Tête d'Or is France's largest urban park which the Lyonnais have been enjoying since 1857. It is a real green haven of 117 hectares (290 acres) in the heart of the city of Lyon. The park has a lot to offer:
- a lake
- a zoo (with giraffes, elephants, deer, reptiles, primates, and other species...)
- a rosary
- botanic gardens with greenhouses
- a miniature tourist train
- and most of all, an overall serenity!

What a great way to see the "Central Park" of Lyon! It was beautiful and had so many nice surprising elements, I hardly want to disclose them. The park is unique in that it has so many different areas - a huge lake, botanical gardens, a zoo, peaceful spaces, statues, and all of them have interesting stories which Sarah told with great enthusiasm. I would never have known any of this seeing the park on my own. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED - both the activity and spending time with Sarah who is very knowledgeable about Lyon and left me with a few ideas on other nice ways to spend my time here.
