What you'll do

Get a behind the scenes glimpse of Sanctuary life and the wildcats we care for. This is a unique opportunity to learn about a true Sanctuary and to see the more than seventy animals that live here. Because we aren't a zoo, you'll see the animals in a relaxed, peaceful setting, unlike anything you've experienced before. Included in the tour you'll see lions, tigers, cheetahs, cougars, bobcats, servals, caracals, hybrid and domestic cats as well as our farm animal rescues.

Tours are limited to four people maximum and two people minimum with no children under the age of fourteen. That allows us to provide a personal experience without adding stress to the wildcats. You'll hear the heartbreaking stories, meet the animals and see their personalities. *Please note, tours are not available for a single guest, the minimum is two people or tours do not happen.

Walking tours run for about two hours. We have golf carts available as needed. Please dress for the weather and no open-toe shoes. Tours must have at least two people and no more than four. There is no contact between guests and animals, but you will have the opportunity to see them up close and personal for a once in a lifetime experience.
Other things to note
There is no direct contact between guests and animals. Silverton, Oregon is only seven miles aways and there are several excellent restaurants to choose from for lunch after your visit.

Since 2001 we have been an accredited sanctuary for captive-born wildcats that have been surrendered, confiscated or were someones 'pet.' Our goal is to educate folks that wild animals should not be bred or sold. We will share information about how you can help make a difference for wildcats everywhere. WCR has been accredited by the American Sanctuary Association, Tigers in America, verified by Global Federation of Animal Sanctuaries and a member of Big Cat Sanctuary Alliance.

It's providing the best life possible for animals who have been neglected and abused before coming to us.

What an incredible experience and privilege this tour was! I've been a supporter and follower of the Wildcat Sanctuary for many years so this was a special treat to be able to see the cats and learn more about the organization. Cat is truly an amazing person with such love and care for the cats that need help. I'm not sure how they do it with such a lean team. If you are a cat lover and care about protecting those that need homes and rescue, I highly recommend this tour!

Where to start... Cat made us feel very welcome from the time we drove up. The sanctuary is a very special place and has a wonderful energy. The experience was structured very well and I feel like it was a genuine privilege to participate. Cat knows each of the animals in her care by name and a full history of their lives. Seeing the care and passion that the entire staff puts into making the cats lives as comfortable and fulfilling as possible has left a wonderful and lasting impression. Highly recommended.

WOW! What an awesome experience this is!! Truly a once-in-a-lifetime type tour though a wonderful sanctuary where you can see the owners’ love of all cats (and animals) in every detail and in all they provide. The 2-hour tour is jam packed with one amazing cat after another. Hearing a cougar purr was so cool... but, look out because they like to sneak up and stalk you while you’re walking! :) Good thing we were safely on the other side of their enclosure! We also loved visiting the feral and domestic kitties... Mousey was so lovey! We will visit again if tours are offered the next time we are in Oregon. We wish we lived closer! If you have an opportunity to do this experience, do not pass it up!

This was an experience of a lifetime. To see these beautiful animals that we follow on Facebook was such a privilege. They are loved and well taken care of. We plan to contribute as much as possible to this organization. Highly recommend.

We greatly enjoyed the tour and our conversation with Kat. The cats are awesome! The sanctuary provides a great place for the cats to live out their lives after they were bred for commercial exploitation or as unrealistic "wild" pets and then cast aside due to age or danger. Cat is knowledgable about the changes to law needed to protect against this exploitation. For us the tour is a once-in-a-lifetime, unforgettable experience.

The tour was fun and amazing. It was such an incredible experience to be able to see all the cats up close and personal. Cheryl is awesome and very knowledgeable. It is definitely well worth every penny. And knowing that all the money goes to the cats makes it even better.
