About your host

Please ask if it's not scheduled on the date/time you want, as we may be able to set up a time for you. What we’ll do

I'll point out some trees and items of interest in our garden as part of an introduction to the natural history of NZ. Then I'll take you on our farm. Climb to the highest part of our farm, where you'll see a glimpse of Lake Te Anau, the largest lake in the South Island. You will hear about the rare native birds…

What else you should know

Please layer warm clothes - it's usually very cold outside. Please tie up long hair because goats like to chew on anything hanging down. If the weather is really bad, we'll be in the barns more.

Where you'll be

The whole tour will be within our private farm. Even our driveway is 400m long, and our house can't be seen from the road. We have decided to offer this farm experience because many people have expressed their disappointment when they couldn't book our farmstay because we were already booked. Now people can experience our farm even when they can't stay on our farm.
