What you'll do
If you are looking for a fun and unusual wine tasting, this is the experience for you!
We developed the first Wine Sensory Game with the aim to create an uncomplicated and enjoyable method that allowed anyone to describe, and so understand, the wine characteristics.
Contrary to the traditional wine tasting, where we passively listen someone describes the wines, with this wine experience you and your palate will be the true protagonists.
We will taste and analyze two different high-quality Tuscan wines, but initially, I will not give you any description. Instead, I will guide you through the sensory analysis, teaching you our alternative method that describes the wine as it were a "Season," a "Place" and an "Animal."
At the end of the experience, you will create your own "Wine Tale" that you will bring with you , as a memory of this unique wine experience!
This experience follows the philosophy of conscious hedonism: without understanding, there can be no real pleasure. Hence the difference between "to consume" and "to savor."
Other things to note
The tasting last for about 1 hour.
Experience perfect for the novice, but also for curious wine geek.
Minimum drinking age: 18 years old

My name is Marco and I'm native to Greve in Chianti.
I've become passionate about wine at a young age and got the fortune to transform my passion into my life-job.
Traveling the World, I had the chance to meet great wine-mentors that have enriched my culture and tastes. Last year I decided to quit my manager job to open an innovative wine school named Wine Lovers Academy.
For me, every new guest is a new friend to share my passions with.
My favorite wines are quite unusual: I will let you discover some real hidden gems.
I'm a certificated Sommelier since 2004 and wine & food journalist.

Where you'll be
The tasting will be held by the cozy terrace of the Wine Lovers Academy.
We are located in the center of Greve; our building is a historical wine site where, some 100 years ago, the famous Fiasco wine bottles were produced.
In case of bad weather or during the winter season, we will sit inside our tasting room.

It was great to play the Wine Sensory Game, but especially so with the guidance of Marco! How he spoke about wine, the story of how he and his wife developed the concept of the game -" conscious hedonism" all of it really helped my friend and I think more clearly about how we experienced wine, that day and the days ahead in our time in Tuscany! His tables outside in the sunshine were perfect for this experience. Marco was generous with his time and sharing - would definitely recommend as a way to have a much more focussed, unbiased, personalized tasting.

The wine sensory game was an amazing way to have my own perception about the wine that I was tasting. Different from regular wine tastery, in this game you receive a range about how you could describe the wine that you are tasting and choose what in your opinion it fit in. In this way, you push your senses to go a little deeper to evaluate and understand better what you are trying. Marco also drive very well the game sharing his own perception only in the end. I really recommend this experience as a great stop during a visit in Chianti area.
