What you'll do
After morning pickup from the meeting point, we will board our air-conditioned vehicle with our small group, and we will head to the Atlas Mountains, North Africa’s greatest mountain range.
On route, we will learn a lot about the Atlas geography and the Berber villages that speckle their valleys and slopes. As we approach the mountains, we enter the lush Ourika Valley, passing stone and adobe-mud villages framed by the snow-capped peaks, this is where you can take amazing pictures.
After a roughly 1-hour journey we will have the chance to visit the berber women that are making the precious Argan Oil (the unique Moroccan oil), and discover how they are extracting it, enjoy a full berber and traditional breakfast there (mint tea, bread, argan oil, olive oil and honey).
Continue to the end of the valley and arrive at Setti Fatma town near the falls then choose to either relax at the pretty riverside cafes or take an 80 minutes guided hike to the Ourika falls with our professional mountain guide, admire the cascades and take photos of the mountain views that unfurl on route.
Return back to Marrakech where your half day tour concludes at the starting point at approximately 1:30 pm.
Other things to note
Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult,
Infant seats are available on request if advised at time of booking,

Would definitely recommend if you only want to spend half a day in the mountains instead of an entire day. Perfectly on time on a fine to reach meeting point. Van was comfortable, enough stops on the route for pictures and for tea and bread. Learned so much about the locals, the country and the relationship between Arabs and Berbers.
No pressure to buy things, but of course you’ll meet some tourist traps.
Amazing.

If you're looking for a refreshing reprieve from the hustle and bustle of the Medina or want to experience some culture and take in the gorgeous mountain views, Abdel is the man for the job. His team put together a great experience for my wife and I, including Berber breakfast and a visit to the Berber women making Argan products. The waterfall hike is tough though, for the uninitiated, out of shape, old, young, or for those with a fear of heights. Be ready to go up some steep (not sheer) rock formations and don't expect safety rails at every turn. The trip up the mountain valley is worth it and at the end, you can have a Tagine in the riverbed to celebrate. I highly recommend Abdel and his crew!

The trip was okay. Our guide was very friendly and insightful. Its very touristy, you get taken from tourist trap to next tourist trap. Definitely something you can do yourself if you've hired a car, but if you're in a rush it's nice way to get out of the craziness of Marrakech for the morning. The main positive is that the hike is beautiful.

Great trip with great hosts! Everything went smoothly and we stopped plenty of times to take some pictures on the way, the hosts were honest and genuine and we enjoyed our trip very much! However, it would have been nice to have slightly more time as at some points it did feel a little rushed, but then again it was only a half a day trip so that was to be expected

This experience was my favorite part of my Marrakech trip! Abdel, our guide was punctual and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed the storytelling and facts about the area while on the drive. Definitely received valuable insight about the history of Marrakech/Morocco. Berber breakfast was delicious, especially the "Berber Nutella"! The hike to the waterfalls was absolutely lovely - make sure to wear decent shoes, a few rocky paths. Got back in time to get lunch in the Medina. Easy, comfortable, beautiful morning!

We had only a short stay in Marrakesh, so we opted for a half day trip to the High Atlas Mountains. Pickup was on-time and Mido was an excellent tour guide and we stopped for pictures. It was really great to get beyond Marrakesh for a while, into the beautiful mountains and fresh air. We enjoyed stopping at the argan cooperative for breakfast and learning about argan. The hike up to the waterfall was really interesting and we saw monkeys too! Our guide went at our pace and made sure everyone felt safe. I’d recommend shoes with good soles, but I only had flats and I was okay. We would have loved to spend the whole day and see more of the mountains, but for our limited time in Marrakesh this excursion was convenient, well organized, and a good value.
