What you'll do

We'll meet up at the very central 3 Fates Fountain in Stephen's Green Park, make our way South to a hidden garden that includes a magical labyrinth, then traverse upwards towards the canal where we will encounter swans, bicyclists, and locals walking. We will wander down through the old Jewish neighborhood of Dublin and discover many delightful haunts of the locals tucked away. We will enjoy stopping off at one of the secret Portobello cafes to enjoy some local fresh treats and then finally end up behind Dublin castle in the sanctuary of its cloistered library and rooftop zen garden where we can catch a bird's eye view and maybe a sunset. All the while we can share cultural insights, stories, and experiences that enliven us!
Other things to note
All cultures warmly welcomed and children too if they are up for a 2 hour walk, talk, and exploration.

As a Native Californian living in Dublin, Ireland for over twenty years, and holding a Masters in International Communications, I've naturally been keen to observe the cultural changes here. I love how lively and diverse the city has become, but still also enjoy the authentically Irish hidden gems that have been kept calm and untouched by change over time. I am delighted to invite you on a mindful walk with me through city gardens, along canals, and through Georgian neighborhoods to discover what the Irish keep sacred and well preserved.

Where you'll be

I will take you down non-tourist streets that offer you the opportunity to reflect on the city from a local's point of view and give you an insider perspective having worked, raised a family, and lived in Dublin for over twenty years.

This was a delightful walk, mostly through the Georgian section, indeed pointing out hidden gems I would definitely missed if walking on my own. The Georgian gardens, the history of buildings and ending in the Zen garden above the Beardsley library were both informative and fun. She talked a lot about Irish history, which was helpful. She was knowledgeable with a cheerful, easygoing style.
