What you'll do
An authentic mexican taco night! A fun evening of chatting, learning about local finger foods and tasting delicious authentic tacos, while walking around Old Town. A (very) filling taco dinner with a local friend.
We will visit 3 different taco spots and you'll be able to taste 5 to 10 different night time tacos and many salsas. It's the tacos we make plans to go eat. You will try the king of tacos, the famous pastor (pork and pineapple). Also, carne asada, tongue, chorizo, chicken and even mashed potato tacos. Plus, aguas frescas and beer. We'll visit street stands and a great taqueria.
After our walking and eating session, you will feel more connected to the fabulous local taco scene and you will be more than ready to continue exploring on your own with more knowledge and confidence. I will also show you additional spots that you can visit later on and give you lots of extra info on how to make your vacation more enjoyable.
We recommend taking Taco101 first, but it's not absolutely necessary :). The order is not important.
Enjoy Vallarta by the hand of a proud local.
Other things to note
Try to book for early on your vacation. You might want to relive the experience. Select a date and secure your spot. Groups are small and fill up fast.

I am originally from Mexico City, but Vallarta has been my home for almost 10 years now. I have been conducting cultural and gastronomic walks ever since, as I love showing people what this piece of paradise has to offer. After having led a few thousand tours, I know what guests look for in a cultural experience. There is so much to show you!
Together with my co-hosts, we create unique and fun local experiences that you will never forget and that will surely become the highlight of your trip.

Where you'll be
This walk takes place around old town, also called romantic zone, where the night time taco scene is vibrant.
Great tour! Memo showed us four taco places, each with its own specialty: two 40+ year food stands, one neighborhood family restaurant, and one trendy feeling spot....all delicious and all places I’d visit again. Memo also taught us a lot about the taco culture, the families who ran the places, and the neighborhoods we walked through. He was a very fun host and finished up the evening by taking us to a local ice cream joint where all of the treats are made on site with fresh, local ingredients. Highly recommend!!!!

We had such a great evening with Memo, highly recommend his taco tour! We were able to visit many small food carts and restaurants we would not have found on our own. Loved the variety of foods. Memo also gave us awesome recommendations for the rest of our stay. Can’t wait to do another tour with him during our next trip to PV.

Loved this tour, it's a must for all PV visitors! It was a great combination of food, culture and fun. Memo picked really unique places that are family-owned and mostly attended by locals. I learned about different taco styles and how to eat them in the most authentic way. I liked one place so much that went back there for breakfast. Take this tour - you won't regret it!

My brother and I enjoyed the cultural perspective Memo shared regarding Puerto Vallarta, street food, and specifically taco stands. His warm and friendly nature made us feel welcome, as we walked around town sampled from three different taco stands. Feeling adventurous and compelled to immerse ourselves in the culture and food, we tried lengua (beef tongue), cachete (beef cheek), as well as al pastor (marinated pork). Visiting multi-generational family taco stands was such a great experience. Afterwards we watched Netflix's Taco Chronicles, which provided additional cultural information regarding regional Mexican taco cuisine and tradition.
