What you'll do

We will visit three exceptional restaurants around the most diverse area of Wellington - Cuba Street. Ranging from quirky to fancy, we will traverse the area, taking in sights and immersing ourselves in the local foodie culture. Wellington is the foodie capital of the country, with abundant restaurants and bars, but it takes a local to know the special gems of the city. All restaurants are within a 2 or 3 minute walk from one another.

I am a self confessed foodie and I am passionate about dining culture in Wellington. As a local I know all the neighborhood favourites and hidden gems. I am a Maitre'D in a restaurant and in my spare time I write recipes for a magazine column. Food is more than a hobby for me, it is my life, and I want to share it with visitors by taking them to extraordinary restaurants and experiencing our local cuisine and food culture.

This was a really good food tour. Joshua knew a lot about the area we were in. He picked three really nice restaurants that I probably wouldn’t have found on my own. Excellent food at all three. Would highly recommend this tour

We really enjoyed the tour and getting to know more about Wellington/New Zealand. Joshua really knew the restaurants well and made great suggestions on what to order. I would definitely recommend if you are in the area.

This was a wonderful evening. Josh was very personable and easy to talk with. I learned about him, Wellington, New Zealand politics, the Maori, and so much more. The food was very special...venison for appetizer, melt in your mouth lamb, and a dessert with a variety of flavors and chocolate truffles to top it all off. (If you’re vegetarian, there will still be lots of options!) The restaurants were varied: from cozy to elegant. I will know where to take my husband when we come back together. Thank you, Josh!
