What you'll do
SAVORING LOCAL DELICACIES AT ANYDRO FARM
Anydro Farm produces, processes and exports a variety of local organic products, with tomato “caviar” paste being one of the most celebrated Santorinian products among the international food critic society. The farm is a series of traditional caves, located in the virtual undiscovered South East part of the island, accessed by a dirt road, encircled by pumice stone canyons and traditional farmlands. We will hand pick local products from the farm and we will offer you class in how to prepare some traditional seasonal dishes. During lunch, we will vividly introduce you to waterless farming of Tomataki (cherry tomato), Fava (yellow beans), Melitzana (white ), Kolokithi (zucchini), Kapari (capers), Katsouni (cucumber)

Forty years ago my family visited for the first time Santorini and fell in love with the island and its rich farming history and set as a life goal to revive the production of the Santorini cherry tomato. After many years of collecting seeds and recording the traditional farming and processing ways, we initiated our own organic tomato farm, that resulted to award-winning products and the re-establishment of tomato production in the island. Nowadays, we continue producing local products.

We had an absolutely magical time with Anna, Mr Petros and Irini looking around the tomato farm, learning about agriculture on Santorini and seeing some of the local area. Anna gave us a fantastic history lesson on the local grapes, Mr Petros showed us how the famous (and extremely delicious!) Santorini tomato paste is made and Irini (along with Anna) taught us yummy recipes for some local dishes, the veggies for which all came from the farm. Everyone was fantastic with accommodating my gluten free diet and we felt extremely welcome and special the entire time. What a fantastic and warm experience with wonderful people and stunning food. Thank you so much, Anna, for looking after us. Our favourite experience on Santorini!

What an experience! I can only wish that more people take the chance to experience the real heart of Santorini and not only it’s breathtaking vistas and beaches.
Santorini is truly one of those unique places from a historic and geographic stand point, and you truly get to understand this during this experience.
Mr Petros and Anna are possibly the nicest and warm people I have met in this life and made me feel like I have been part of their lives forever.
The food was absolutely delicious and ideal for vegetarians and vegans who have a keen interest to understand more about sustainable farming. I wish I could have stayed there the whole week!!! This was hands down one of the best and authentically Greek experiences I have had!
I will be coming back and will be recommending this wholeheartedly to whomever comes to Santorini.
