Puneet and Ankit are passionate traveler and host, working from past two year towards giving travelers an experience of exploring the city like a local with a local on walking tours. Just like when people stay at airbnb accommodation, they get to meet locals and have an amazing experience, but on very rare occasions hosts take the guests to show around the city because of a lot of practical constraints. This is when our passion get a chance to provide that unique experience to travelers, we provide different kinds of walking tours like a tour of old town, food walk, art trails and pub crawls.

The choice of eateries seemed more an exercise in convenience than a conscious choice designed to serve up some uniquely Goan cuisine. What should have had a distinct theme woven around it, was instead an incohesive exercise in ragtag gastronomy. Except in one case, the rest of the eateries were just some disjointed destinations. The young host, Vrushali, who dutifully walked us through, was engagingly naive and friendly, but I’m afraid the owners behind this venture should realize that, what one looks for is not just to eat for the sake of eating. Instead, the effort should help the tourist to connect with the cuisine and with the history behind each dish. It should be as much a matter of convenience to fulfill a commercial need, as it should be to serve a gourmet one.

The tour isn’t with Puneet - it’s with a local guide. In my case it was Mario; he was professional and excellent and even put up well with my opinionated voice - haha. He was very knowledgeable on the history of Goa - as he doesn’t just take you on a food tour. Mario incorporates culture with the food to make it a joyful and meaningful event. I’d definitely do it again. Tip: come hungry and if you’re not into hot (chili) food make sure you tell your guide — I personally love ‘hot’ food. Also the good tour is vegetarian, but you won’t miss it - as the foods selected are delicious and filling.

Excellent tour, really good value for money and an overall interesting experience. Tried food items and locations I might’ve just normally walked past. Great to have a local with us who was able to explain each item, and share their knowledge.

Would highly recommend it! Apart from the fact that this tour belongs to the organisator Yo Tours (if I remember correctly), it was very well done. We liked it very much that just the people that book together are experiencing this together, so you will not be a crowd and its not a tourist show. We tried food we didn‘t hear of before, we had local delicacies as well as some street food. Mario took good care of us, told us about Panjim and the traditions, and was in general very open towards our questions. The food was delicious and the amount was just right for a lunch!

The street food crawl was a great way to try out some foods we had never eaten before and go to places we probably would have never eaten at on our own. We also got a chance to learn about the history of Goa and its people. Definitely a fun way to spend a couple of hours. Our guide was very helpful in accommodating my wheat allergy at the various stops.
