What you'll do

We begin the experience, picking up travelers at Unicentro a very traditional Shopping Center of Bogotá. Later we will leave the city on the North Highway, towards our extraordinary experience. About an hour and a half later, we will arrive at our first destination, La Laguna de Guatavita, where we will take a guided tour by natives of the area.

Upon leaving Guatavita we will visit Tominé reservoir where we can take an incredible photographic record, to finally reach our second destination, the Salt Cathedral of Zipaquirá.

Upon arrival, we will enter the mine, on a guided tour by highly trained professionals to provide all the information about the first wonder of Colombia. This tour lasts 2 hours.

To end this great experience, we will celebrate with the best gastronomic experience of Bogotá, in the iconic Andrés Carne de Res restaurant, internationally recognized for being one of the most unique and different.

Una experiencia súper chula, la dinámica y la programación de estas actividades hacen tu día simplemente único, estos lugares están hermosos! Con gusto volvería hacerlo!

We enjoyed our day trip and really liked the sights that we saw. It was great that they were all combined and it was really worthwhile to see them. However, the meeting place was a little out of the way for us and we had trouble catching an Uber back to our location at the time we arrived back to the city. We were able to finally get one after waiting for 30 minutes or so, but I wish we would've anticipated this. The biggest let down was the the language barrier. Our host's English was pretty good, but pretty good was not really good enough to convey a lot of the information you would want on a tour like this. There was no real information given during any part of the drive. Also, we were behind a tour group at Lake Guatavita and the Spanish speaking tour guide was talking continuously at each of the stops and our guide could only get out a few sentences to convey important facts. He didn't even speak about the legend at all. The location was cool and picturesque and we got some good local snacks after. The salt cathedral was great (you get an audio guide) and the restaurant was pretty good (food was very good and decor was interesting, but it's not like we walked around the place or danced or anything else of interest). Overall, we did really enjoyed our day. The guide was very nice and did his best to answer any questions and I was very happy that we took the time to see these sights. One additional note - at the lake there are some steeper steps that you will have to climb. Make sure to wear sensible walking shoes. Our guide was very patient with another person in our party that was having to go slowly, but just so you're aware.

This experience was awesome, my boyfriend and I had a blast. We got to learn a lot about the Muisca’s culture and three amazing locations of the region. I really recommend it to anyone wanting to scape the city for a couple hours.

Three extraordinary attractions in one day - each was unique and unforgettable. The organisation was very good and everything went smoothly. I can't think of doing all this by my own in one day, and with such an ease. Carlos was very friendly and warm, he really took care of each of the group members personally. I wish however to get some more background information about the places we visited and interesting stories about Colombia and the region of Bogota from Carlos' perspective... All in all really recommended!
