Lisa was more than amazing she was fantastic! I've never done an experience before and I'm so glad she was my first one. The day went by so fast because she made it fun and enjoyable. I liked it became it was something I've never done before. I would recommend it to people who are looking for something different to do. I would definitely do it again!

What a great and truly unique artistic experience! It took no time at all after meeting Lisa Ann to feel as if we were spending time with a friend - an immensely creative and talented friend! Beginning with an evening walk on the beach in Santa Monica, we got to enjoy a beautiful Southern California sunset. We took tons of pictures and Lisa Ann guided us well by suggesting angles and what to include in the photos. We reviewed our photos over delicious pizza and had a great time talking and editing our work. Lisa Ann also showed us samples of the kind of artwork we would be creating. It was hard to imagine that the image that I was seeing on a smartphone could become a beautiful piece of glass art. We also found out what Lisa would be doing to prep for our screen printing experience the next evening. On day 2, we met at Lisa Ann's studio, where she put all my apprehensions about my complete inexperience with screen printing (never mind with glass powder) to rest. Once we were masked and safety-goggled, the remarkable process began. Lisa Ann expertly guided us and gave us total confidence to work with an unfamiliar technique and materials. It was an artistic thrill - I was able to create a beautiful piece of art that will last a lifetime, reminding me not only of the beautiful sunset but also of the great time I had over a couple days. Thank you, Lisa Ann, for a fantastic experience!

This Glass Sunsets experience was amazing! I was excited to learn about screen printing with glass, and this experience blew me away! The first part of the experience was beautiful. Lisa Ann picked the perfect spot of beach in Santa Monica and there were so many gorgeous photo opportunities. I took so many photos. During our yummy pizza dinner, Lisa Ann showed us some examples of what we would be making the next day in her studio. We went through all the photos and chose the one that would make the best glass art sunset. She patiently explained how to narrow down my choices based on the details that I wanted to highlight and avoid cluttered backgrounds. I learned about her passion for working with glass and had a really fun time hanging out with her! When I got to her studio the next day, I was so excited to see my photo already transformed into black and white, edited to highlight the parts we discussed at dinner, and made into a template for the screening process. After she did a quick demo, I was able to pick the colors of glass powder that I wanted from a large array of options. It was really fun working with Lisa Ann's guidance to choose the colors that went well together and got the effect I wanted. I had a thousand questions but Lisa Ann took the time to explain everything, then had incredible patience as she had me do all the screen printing steps myself. That part was incredible - having her teach me and then step back and allow me to make my own piece of art! She's a fabulous teacher with a ton of patience - and she's really fun to spend time with! The hardest part was not getting to take my piece home with me that day because it had to be fired over night and mounted to the frame. I was so excited to receive it in the mail a few days later and it was so beautiful. I highly recommend this experience whether you are a local or just visiting. Thank you, Lisa Ann and Airbnb for such a unique experience! I will always treasure my glass sunset art!

This experience exceeded my expectations and I feel meaningfully enriched after it! Sunset at the beach was breathtaking, tranquil, with much time to really appreciate it - very zen. Visiting the Santa Monica Pier before walking down to the waters edge was unexpected and thanks to Lisa very informative and fun. She shared some of the rich history and fascinating facts about the pier and the area. And taking pictures to create art and preserve a memory was far more engaging and exciting than I'd imagined. We followed that up with some food, photo editing and beer. A perfect cap to the day. The studio day was amazing! I learned that there is real craftsmanship that goes into glass art. Lisa is an extraordinary coach and brilliant artist! As someone truly excited by art and it's creative process I found myself an eager student. The end result was truly gratifying. I got to see how my choices shaped the experience. Now I have a lasting memory captured in glass. I will treasure my glass sunset and the adventure of making it always.
