What you'll do
I can pick you up anywhere you are staying within the city limits of Seattle, or we can meet at the course (Lakewood King County Park, in South Seattle). If you are outside Seattle, contact me to discuss whether I will be able to drive you to the course.
When we get to the course, I'll give you a brief overview of the course layout, the discs we will be using, then we'll practice a little bit with the different discs as I explain how to most effectively throw them. Just like in ball golf, we have putters, drivers, and mid-range discs. I'll provide every player with one of each, since I assume that most guests do not have their own when they are traveling and they are not available for rent at the course.
Then we'll play a round together at this 20-hole course. I'll provide as much or as little instruction as you want. We can play in various formats, ranging from multiple throws (mulligans) to various forms of doubles (best shot, alternate shot). We can keep score... or not, compete against each other...or not. It's up to you. The main goal is to have fun!
Then I'll return you to your starting location (again, assuming it is in Seattle).
Other things to note
No previous disc golf/frisbee experience is necessary. You'll want to make sure you don't have any injuries that will seriously curtail your range of motion for your throwing arm.

I've been a member of the Professional Disc Golf Association since 2001 and have competed in tournaments in the professional division all over the northwest. I'm also a patient and experienced coach. I've coached adults and youth in disc golf, volleyball, and soccer. I'd love to share my knowledge of this sport and this course, and tell you more about the greater Seattle area if you are from out of town.
I'm a self-employed environmental scientist, so I set my own work schedule. If you don't see a date or time that fits your schedule, contact me and we can probably work something out.

Where you'll be
Lakewood King County Park is a lovely wooded park that is primarily used for disc golf. Although the course is open to the public, there are no course maps or signage that indicate where the next hole is located, so it is very difficult and frustrating to navigate the course without a guide. The course is one of the best in the greater Seattle area and is home to many tournaments sanctioned by the Professional Disc Golf Association each year.
We had a great time with Tad! It's a perfect experience to do with friends in the outdoors while being introduced to this great sport. This was our first time playing disc golf and Tad made it easy and fun for us to get into it. Very recommended!
