Hi! My name is Mohamed.
Born and raised in Cairo, I'm a licensed tour guide of Egypt. I have a degree in History and a true passion for the Eternal City, its myths and legends.
I know Egypt and Cairo like the back of my hand! As an archeological, I would like to help you discover our beloved city, its secret stories and all you need to know about our history and culture.
I have created this unique and charming experience to immerse you in a city of 7000 years ago, pointing out the traces of the daily life of the past that are still visible all over around, but that only an "Archeological Eye" can read!

Through this tour we will visit Giza Pyramids & The Sphinx. I'm Egyptologist so i have access to new discovery sites. I have access to Local community of the pyramids are original inhabitants of Giza.

Gian.

Fantastic trip to Cairo and Alexandria Mohammed was a great guide, he is very knowledgeable on Egyptian history and I really feel I learned so much more by having him as my guide. We got exeactly what he promised .....right from our Landing in Cairo...our guide was loaded with enthusiasm and every detail of historical importance...explaining thru the Cairo museum and then mosque , the city , and Pyramids.( one must visit museum and also take ticket to go inside pyramids)...amazing 2 days stay in Cairo worth every single penny they charged .... Our guide joined us very early morning and left us back to hotel till late ...safe and in always good mood... Our trip to Alexandria was well planned. our guide in alexandria Mohammad was so well informed about local areas of interest ,,,showed the city with great passion....we left Egypt with a great sense of satisfaction ..... My car driver Ebrahim was very good natured and very caring ....... thankfully our driver was a great driver and always maintained safe practices The weather was beautiful, sunny and mid-70s F. I’ll start with the overall impression, that while we enjoyed our morning for the most part, we were expecting an “Airbnb Experience,” which we really didn’t get. Those looking for the authentic “go beyond typical tours and be immersed in the host’s own world” experience, as described by Airbnb, will likely be disappointed. The host Joseph seems to be a broker for tour guides, and assigned us Mina from Ramasside Tours. We were also contacted by Afaf, another agent from the tour company, who the night before reached out to move our pickup time earlier. At the end of the tour, we were even asked to leave a review on TripAdvisor. Our guide Mina did a perfectly fine job, and I don’t think our disappointment was a fault of his. He was knowledgeable about the history of Egypt. He did everything a guide is expected to do—show us the different viewpoints of the Pyramids, help us with photos, explain the history of the sites, and help with “bargaining” for camel rides (despite a huge sign showing officially sanctioned rates posted at the Tourism Police booth). We also did feel very rushed, the reason for which was apparent at the end of the tour. Tickets for the entrance to the pyramids were included. However, no “traditional drink,” or even water, was provided despite the tour description. The 7 pyramid viewpoints were really quite obvious, most of them consisted of going from one corner of the pyramid to the other corner. As mentioned earlier, we also did a camel ride. The “experience” ended with our guide trying to take us Papyrus, Egyptian cotton, and Egyptian essence shopping (!!!!!) We were initially convinced by the pitch to check out “a government papyrus institute,” but as the car pulled up we looked around and saw a handful of other “institutes” on the same street and promptly asked to be taken back to our lodging, which they complied, and I appreciated. Ultimately, we got the 7 view points of the pyramids and some decent photos. However, this is decidedly a tour operated like traditional tours, and ran counter to the spirit of Airbnb experiences, through no fault of the tour guide but of the Airbnb host "Joseph." And while we dodged the unexpected shopping stops, that left a sour taste on this otherwise serviceable tour.

Joseph sent Ahmed to take us on the pyramid view points tour. Ahmed’s good English and historical background he provided made a very good impression. I didn’t “keep track “ of the 7 viewpoints we went to and in hindsight most were fairly obvious — I had hoped for secret or especially artistic and photographic angles. But with his good explanations I still think it was worth the money. We were done in 2 hours

Joseph is a manager of tour guides, not the tour giver himself. My assigned guide, Sara, was the best. She was extremely passionate and knowledgeable. I could tell that she really did love her home, Egypt. There was a small price discrepancy the day before the tour but it was handled appropriately.

I am so lucky to have traveled all over Egypt several times in the past few years. My tour with Sara of Rasmussen Tours was a highlight. In addition to being kind, personable, and a wealth of knowledge on this tour, she's also a great photographer! So happy I was lucky enough to meet both Sara and my incredible driver. It even ended with a delicious Egyptian delicacy. Even after the tour, the company reached out to make sure everything went well. Really good customer service. Would book this again 10 times over! Thank you Sara!
