What you'll do
We will board the Mojo Van from West shore Napier (or you can be picked up along the way) and be transported out to Ocean Beach via Crazy Good coffee, the Marine Parade, Napier and the Tuki Tuki Valley. The trek begins close to the tiny bach settlement at Ocean Beach. The first stretch takes us along the pristine beach stopping at the rustic 'Dunes Hut' for morning tea. We will boil the billie and enjoy some of Pia's delicious treats from our lunch box. We continue along the beach and head up onto the ridge via the historic pa site. Our trek then takes us past the Cape Kidnappers bird sanctuary where we will rest and hear the story of this incredible initiative. From here we trek up and over Clifton Station and down on to the Maraetotara river stopping for lunch at our leisure. We complete our walk out to the Clifton settlement and are transported to our wine tasting at Clear view estate winery before we head home to Napier.
My name is Ange Tremain and I am the founder of Mojo Journeys. I have spent three years creating a range of trekking experiences in coastal Hawke's Bay and am proud to invite you to come along and enjoy them with me. It has taken time to build relationships with land owners and I have been entrusted with the privilege of private access to some of the most soulful and idyllic coastal stations (farms) in our region. I love to walk in these uplifting and authentic places sharing the local stories and personalities, so remarkable.
