What you'll do
We will take you on a 3 hours bike tour, show you the secrets of the city and taste delicious street food. We will start from Piazza Ferrarese and get immersed in the little alleys of Bari's old town to discover the cosy Basilica of Saint Nicholas, the beautiful Cathedral of Saint Sabinus and the millenary Swabian Castel. Lets us introduce you to some friends, see how we make pasta, show you the way we communicate with our hands while we do several stops in a Panificio to eat typical "focaccia", in a Salumeria to try different types of cheese and salumi while we drink primitivo wine. We'll try delicious fried sgagliozze and panzerotti at the stalls of Largo Albicoca. We will seal the deal with a taste of yummy italian home made ice cream. Do you still want more? Then keep the bikes for the rest of the day and continuo exploring the city by yourselve.....
Other things to note
This will be and easy ride as the city is very flat so it is really suitable for every age.

Where you'll be
We will show you the secrets of the streets where we played as kids, introduce you to the ladys that make typical "orechiette" and of course eat and taste the local Barese delicacies: focaccia, salumi and cheese, sgagliozze and panzerotti and yummy italian home made ice cream. Lets explore together and discover the history of Bary through the walls of the beautiful Cathedral of Saint Sabinus and the cosy Basilica of Saint Nicholas.
This is NOT an Air BnB experience. It’s a group tour, hosted by tour company Velo Service. I did not even meet Paco and they “about us” section of this Air BnB listing is irrelevant. It’s not just passionate locals, but locals who own a tour company. However, our tour guide, Alessia, was excellent! She’s a University student in Bari with a rich knowledge of the history and culture and she seemed to be very passionate about her job. We saw historical sites and she explained the history to us as we hiked the city. We were with a group of 10 total- mixed Americans and Dutch. We did go to local places for food but the food was nothing special. We could have easily done the tour ourselves by googling historical sites in Bari and walking around or renting bikes then googling local eats Bari. The city is amazing - beautiful and interesting, rich in culture - and we loved Alessia as our guide. Otherwise, the experience we disappointing. This is my first Air BnB experience, and I am not sure I will do another.

The tour guide (Alexander) has to greatly improve his storytelling skills. I’ve done countless of walking tours before and I must say he was probably the least engaging tour guide I’ve ever met. For the price that I paid for, I expected better tour guides.

Alex was great. Food was great. Was interesting to see the city. A couple of the food stops ran clearly to bari time not your schedule time, which made some of the stops a little clunky. But this was not Alex’s fault and he kept the tour moving and found quick solutions which were great.
