What you'll do

Each of the Rome tours offer a different experience combining, in varying measures, Rome's famous monuments and the lesser known, less trodden but equally fascinating backstreets and alleyways, often we enter into artisans' workshops where we can photograph them carrying out their craft or get portraits.
You can choose to take a full-day tour or a half-day tour, or combine two half-day tours to suit your taste. All of the tours are suitable for anyone from complete beginner to the well experienced photographer. The pace is relaxed. I will not rush you, we will follow the tour at the speed that you feel comfortable with. Sometimes events or the quality of light will keep us longer in one location, but no worries. Very often we get so engrossed in our photography that we don't make it to the "official" finishing point of the tour. But after all, it is not a bus route, and we don't have a fixed timetable. Our goal is just to get great photos and enjoy. I have a pretty good knowledge of the history of Rome so I can tell you a lot of the background and stories appertaining to the places we visit.
Other things to note
Though we won't be hurrying too much on a tour, walking up to 7Kms in a day can be hard on the feet, and a lot of Rome's street surfaces are cobble stones. Wear a comfortable pair of walking shoes.

I became a photographer way back in the 80's, and started out on my career in London. Moving to Italy in 1990. I have worked for top advertising agencies and magazines. I have also won a awards among others in the Paris Prix de le photographie and the Moscow International Foto Awards. Since 2006 I have been taking photography enthusiasts, pros and amateurs, and also those just wanting to get some good snaps. In Rome I have shot such diverse subjects as a scooter in the Trevi Fountain and Bernini's incomparable statues in the Galleria Borghese. I know Rome like the back of my hand.

Where you'll be

Outside of the station it can be pretty crowded, so we meet by the tree which is next to the green kiosk selling souvenirs which you will find as soon as you exit the subway station.

We had a great morning with Steve, walking around, shooting beautiful locations - both well-known and hidden - and learning about the city history and Roman lifestyle. Highly recommended!
