What you'll do
Kids are welcomed to join!
Join us in a class to learn how to make famous Shanghainese xiǎolóngbāo soup dumplings from start to finish.
You’ll learn how to cook them two different ways (steamed and fried), and I’ll even reveal how the soup gets wrapped up inside the dumpling! You will also learn how to make a yummy dipping sauce that complements the dumplings.
Finally, we will enjoy our handmade xiǎolóngbāo together. You will also get to take home an easy-to-follow recipe so you can recreate the cooking experience in your own kitchen.
This experience is suitable as a team building exercise.
If you would like to book a date that is not currently offered, please contact me. If I am available that day we can have class then.
Other things to note
Make sure you come with an empty stomach. If you wish to book a date that is currently not available, feel free to reach out and I will try to accommodate you.

Hi, I'm Cici! I’ve been teaching Chinese cooking classes to both expats and foreign visitors alike for almost a decade. Throughout these years I have enjoyed sharing my culture with foreigners as well as hearing about their cultures—especially what they like to eat. After first teaching students how to make the food I grew up eating in Northern China, my students begged me to teach them how to cook even more types of Chinese food, so I went to culinary school to learn the art of dim sum and earned the highest dim sum qualifications available.

Cici is the most welcoming, considerate, experienced and professional host you could hope for. She is super organised and was able to cater for our various special dietary requirements (vegetarian and gluten free). We had so much fun and would love to come again sometime. We all wish her the best and would not hesitate to recommend her to absolutely anybody. On a personal level, she has charm, carisma, great stories and is a super organiser. Thanks so much Cici.

Had a great experience at Cici’s cooking class, she was a really nice host and explained very well every step. I had the chance to attend an one to one class, so the learning process was faster and easier. She also taught me some Chinese haha, and we got to talk a lot about life, work and other experiences. We had quite a good conversation and ate tasty 小笼包 that we made. Super recommended!
