I'm a director and I want to play in a Korean drama with you near Seoul Botanic Park. I've taught foreigners several Korean dramas, including "Secret Garden" and "Closer." I now operate acting classes at LG Science Park with my partners. They were once beginners who laughed a lot and teared deeply. I've made them who they are, and it will be so interesting to work with you and find out who you are.

THE LOCATION: My friend and I met the host/director at A Twosome Place. (The cafe seemed to be the equivalent to Starbucks but better.) From the photos of this experience, we were under the impression that it would be held in a studio. However, it was held in a public cafe and I wasn't too comfortable with that setting. THE HOST/DIRECTOR: She was friendly and helpful if we needed her to repeat some phrases. Also, she was understanding that we were late/lost while trying to find the cafe. THE EXPERIENCE: She tried teaching us how to pronounce and read basic Hangul and sent us links about the language. This was very frustrating for me because not only is Hangul a whole new writing system for me but also I had to read and pronounce each character. Additionally, she allowed us to pick a drama and say some lines from a particular episode. And after we practiced pronouncing or passingly pronouncing each line, she filmed us on her smartphone. OVERALL: It's a decent class if you can pronounce and read at least in basic Hangul. And if you like acting/expressing yourself it can be fun.

It was a good course, Wonny met me halfway and held a meeting at an unplanned time.We tried the Korean drama repertoire and tried to play a few moments. I had some difficulties, because I did it for the first time in Korean. But we experimented a bit and then moved on to playing specific emotions; it was interesting. I liked the communication with Wonny, her tact, and in the end I was able to pick up useful information. It was a pleasant time. Only the organizational moment in the search for drama has let us down and, as a result, we have lost some time. I think we should prepare for this better and warn for some time before the meeting.

Wonny and I met up at a coffeeshop because the temperature was too cold! She helped me to choose a dramascene to act, because I didn't pick a scene or drama beforehand as I didn't know about it. I was really really happy about the choice so it was a good thing after all~ We practised clear pronounciation and she helped me translate every line so I would further grasp the meaning. Wonny always gave tips to improve and encouraged me well. After that I got time to memorize and we moved on to the little stage. We acted the scene out there and Wonny also provided some further lesson on how to express emotions, which I loved. I feel like I could learn so much from acting with her! Definitely a good learning experience!
