Panoramic sunset hike
Experience hosted by Julie
3.5 hours
Includes food, transportation, equipment
Up to 10 people
Hosted in French, German, English, Spanish
What you'll do
We will take the heritage trail which retranscribes the history of the chestnut with its exceptional olive oil and chestnut flour mill with a vertical paddle wheel. Then we will leave the village under the chestnut trees in order to take a secular path traversing a magnificent forest of holm oaks covered with lichen to discover ancient coal mines and the remains of small houses dating from the Bronze Age,.
We will finally reach the summit after 1h -1h30 walk with an extraordinary panoramic view of the whole micro region down to the sea. Ideally, we will take this walk at the end of the day to benefit from the most beautiful colors with the sunset rosing the needles of Bavella. We will share a "spuntinu" (picnic) based on local seasonal products and we will descend by a more rolling path in the downlight or at the front to the village: the donkeys that are going to greet us unless we meet a deer around the corner of the trail.
Other things to note
short 2-3 hour hike with sunset on the panoramic summit overlooking the valley, we will take a magnificent path under the oaks with beautiful granite steps
