What you'll do

This is a 2.30 hour relaxed walking through the forest to enjoy a peaceful time with Nature.
We will depart around 7 pm from the meeting point (Flores do Cabo restaurant) and walk through the forest to Peninha Sanctuary. On our way we'll appreciate magnificent views of Guincho and Cascais. We will avoid the main road and use trails in the middle of the forest to get to Adro Nunes, an old dolmen located 420m above the sea level with a panoramic view of Cape Roca and the western coast of Lisbon. Here we will spend some time to appreciate the sunset. This is a mindfulness walk of full communion with Nature. We'll come back around 9.30 pm. The order of each stop may change depending on time of the year and sunset time.

We invite you to collect any garbage (mostly plastic) you notice during the walk. We want to make sure we keep our forest clean :)

We can adapt the walk to children under 12.

Please contact us if you need a ride from Sintra or Cascais train station.
Other things to note
There is free parking nearby.

If you are a solo traveller you are welcome, I am happy to share with you the beauty of the forest. If you don't see the date you are interested on the calendar please send me a message.

Hi, I am Rita a nature and sports lover. After living 8 years in London I've moved back to Lisbon to be closer to friends, family and the beach :)
I love to run and do functional training outside either on the beach or in Sintra woods. I studied Nutrition and Sports and love to motivate people to move!!!
Sometimes training inside a gym can be boring, my goal is to bring people outside to train and enjoy Nature. I'd be delighted to take you on a walk inside Sintra Forest to explore the hidden viewpoints of this magic place.

I had a magical experience on this hike with Rita. First I have to say she was extremely flexible and considerate from the start, as she allowed me to rearrange the walk due to the weather not being ideal. Her communication was always great through airbnb and whatsapp. She tailored the walk to the weather conditions of the day we ended up doing it, and timed it so that we were consistently avoiding the clouds. The walk itself was beautiful and I saw things I wouldn't have been able to find on my own. From the secluded sanctuary to the majestic dolmen, passing through enchanted forests with giant boulders and overlooking incredible vistas, Rita is very knowledgeable on the area and knows all the trails. She was also particularly kind to me, as I lost my phone charger cable during the hike, and since I needed one urgently, at the end of the walk she drove me to a nearby shop where she knew I could find one. If I come back to the area I will definitely go on her other hikes. Thank you so much for everything Rita!

Thank you, Rita. Best. Tina

The hike/walk was awesome, very beautiful area with a calming forest and the great view above the sea. But the best was Rita, she was so friendly and helpful. She was flexible with the meeting time when I made a mistake in booking the evening tour instead of the moning tour. We even caught lunch together after the walk. 100% recommendation!
