What you'll do

I will take you and your small private group of guests on a horse ride through some of South Africa's most well-known wine estates. Along the way, we will take in spectacular views of Table Mountain and the mountains of Stellenbosch and we'll see many different bird species and possibly, some antelope.
This ride will be one-hour long. This ride does not require previous riding experience. Thrill-seeking, experienced riders might enjoy our two-hour ride or our half or full-day wine tour rides.
Guests can book a picnic or a wine-tasting at a small extra fee, but you need to book these in advance please.
Other things to note
Please note: My first priority is your safety, and as such, I reserve the right to change the planned route based on various factors on the day.
If you arrive late I may need to cut your ride short.

Growing up on a sheep farm in South Africa meant learning to ride came almost before learning to walk, so horses have always been a part of my DNA. I then grew up, attended Stellenbosch University, and developed a deep passion for wine. And after 15 years of living in London—here I am, living the dream—taking like-minded adventure seekers for a lovely meander on horseback through the spectacular wine region of Stellenbosch. Reinvesting in our local communities is very important to me, so I do a lot of work teaching natural horsemanship skills to young kids from the area.

Where you'll be

We'll start off with a short novice lesson before we head to our neighboring wine farm, where we'll ride between the vineyards and forest areas, and in the indigenous fynbos tracks. Our horses are exceptionally well trained and friendly. You will experience incredible views and some of the best horse riding the Cape has to offer.
We do not ride the same trail twice, so the horses are not dull and bored.

This was our first experience with Horse riding so we we nervous in the begining. However Megan (our guide on the day) put us at ease and guided us through the ride. This experience was fun and worth it.

Absolutely wonderful experience with such lovely hosts. Me being a first time rider, they helped to teach me very quickly. I couldn't have imagined it any better to be honest!

Great experience for us with no horseback riding expertise. The farm was amazing. Louise put in extra care to ensure our safety. We arrived 15 minutes late, but being familiar with the area, but she gave us extra time time and attention for our experience. It was so much fun. I loved her horses. They are so gentle and you could get a glimpse of their personalities. We were staying in central Cape Town and it was a short 28 minute drive to the nursery. Great experience and I highly recommend it to anyone who is even slightly interested or for those who love our animal friends. Louise also has a lot of expertise in horse riding. It has been one of our favorite activities we have participated in since arriving in Cape Town..
