What you'll do

I’ll take you to a typical Mayan Village, located 50 km away from Mérida. The program will be first the visit of 2 crystal clear water cenotes (underground natural water cave). The first one is one of the biggest cenote of the region and you’ll enjoy a sunlight beam coming from the top, which gives it a breath taking feeling. The second cenote is also really unic because it’s a two-sided cenote. You will enjoy a dark and a bright part. This one gives the possibility to jump from 8 meters for the ones who seeks more extreme experience. After that, we will go for lunch with a Mayan Family, which is the most surprising part of this trip. They will prepare the typical POC-CHUC grilled served with rice, onions, beans and hand made tortillas and delicious salsa. You will meet the entire family and even the animals that they guest in their humble house. There is no menu, and the choice will be in function of what the family proposes. You will visit the surroundings of the house and the village and discover their life style and share a moment with the family who are really happy to receive you. Let's share a day far from the Mass tourism !!

Franck

French living in Mexico about 10 years. When I arrived to Merida, the beauty of the beaches, elegancy of the Mayan pyramids and the mystery of the Cenotes amazed me so much. I started to discover many places especially Cenotes, which are not well known by tourists. I enjoy very much swimming inside the Cenotes feeling being a part of our mother nature. Being in the nature and passing some time with the original and friendly Mayan people while tasting their gastronomy is the experience that many of us may never have. So I have decided to show to many tourists who come to Merida this feeling.
