What you'll do

We will leave from the main access to the General Cemetery, to walk through points of historical importance and special places within the pantheons of the city: General, Foreigners and Workers.

As we are Chepe-Lovers (Chepe is synonymous with San José, it is as we say to our city), we will go to places that will make you fall in love with the capital as much as we are.

It is a route based on mausoleums, crypts, tombs and monuments little known to tourists, within the Cemeteries of Workers, General and Foreigners.
The places are ideal to photograph and be able to walk and identify their main points.

In four hours we will give you a perspective that few can give you and that will make you see why the high-oligarch class Josefina lived and died in style.
Other things to note
Even when it rains, we will have a tour.
We will go through the cemeteries of San José, in the historic Hospital district.

Do you want to know the cemeteries of San José?
As a historian of the National University, I want to give tourists experiences that highlight the historical-architectural heritage existing in the capital and thus be able to show you the other side of San José, which has areas with much to see.
I am an entrepreneur in cultural tourism and that is why I was part of the 2017 Cultural Entrepreneurship Cycle taught by the Spanish Cultural Center of the Embassy Spain.
I know the city as few: its corners, anecdotes, history, architecture and its evolution.
Dare to walk with us!

Where you'll be

We will go through many places within the cemeteries, to see and explain them, even photograph them as they are beautiful and full of details.
Chepe cemeteries hide details and a lot of history, apart from an incredible architectural wealth.
Each of the sites I selected for you (s) are of importance and are linked to the politics, history and development of the country.

A tour different than usual. The place is a mix of history and arquitecture which makes it unique. Also, Alejandro is not only your guide but your friend, making the trip a lot nicer.
