What you'll do

Waiheke Island is a stunning island with a very peaceful energy, and you will receive a safe and yummy private yoga session for one or two people (private group).

We will start by filling in a quick form that allows me to get to know you, your requirements, wishes and intentions. You can design your yoga session to include asana (yoga poses), pranayama (breathing exercises), meditation, chanting, relaxation or wholistic mentoring. Or just leave it up to me :-).

Amongst others, I recommend to learn a beautiful simple sequence called the "8 Directions of the Spine" that is quick to do every day and prevents many ailments and stiffness in your spine - and stay youthful and flexible. It is the ideal warm-up before sun salutations as it includes gentle twists. You will receive a sheet to take home so you can keep practising by yourself.
Other things to note
The yoga can be designed to your requirements and possibilities. For the less experienced: I am renowned for "Yummy Yoga" :-) and we can make it as gentle as you like.

I am an experienced yoga teacher who completed 1-year full-time studies in Australia with a Diploma of Health (Yoga) in 2003. In parallel, I also teach and mentor mindfulness and spiritual practices for individuals as well as in corporate settings - where I work part-time as an innovation and transformation consultant. Originally from Germany, I have become a global citizen after living in France, Italy, Africa, Australia and New Zealand and delight in meeting people from around the world.

Where you'll be

Depending on the weather and your preferences we will do yoga either in my serene private yoga space with ocean views or in a Mediterranean garden under a majestic Phoenix Palm tree.

Things to know

Cancellation policy

Any experience can be cancelled and fully refunded within 24 hours of purchase, or at least 7 days before the experience starts.

Government ID

You’ll need to take a picture of yourself that matches the photo on your ID. This is so Airbnb can confirm who’s actually going on the experience. You’ll only have to do this once.

Guest requirements

Up to 1 guest ages 15 and up can attend.

What to bring

Clothing: as comfortable as a pyjama, layers to keep you cool during poses and warm during relaxation

Do not eat 1.5 hours before the yoga session
