What you'll do

This is the most comprehensive tour of the Hermitage as it covers 5 buildings of the main museum complex and the impressionist and post-impressionist collection in the General staff building that 99% of people miss. A 4-hour walk full of amazing interiors, interesting stories and world-class art! And a skip the line admission, of course :)

The Hermitage has hundreds of rooms and more than 3 million exhibits, so many people feel lost when they go there. It's not our way! I will show you all the most beautiful rooms, the main masterpieces and hidden gems, and will tell you lots of historical & fun information.

Walking through the 5 buildings of the museum, we will see the most beautiful reception rooms, admire masterpieces by Rembrandt, Raphael, da Vinci & Michaelangelo, Velazques and other famous artists. Besides the most visited part of the museum, you will see more off the beaten track sights like the Palace church and the Neva enfilade of the Winter palace.

After an optional break we will go to the General Staff building that is not included in most tours. There we will see Monet, Renoir, Picasso, Matisse, Van Gogh & will enjoy a peaceful atmosphere without the crowds.
Other things to note
The Hermitage schedules specific admission time for guided visitors, so the actual time of the beginning and the end of the tour may be slightly different.

Highly recommend to Alisa's tour ! - Knowledgeabla for everything in Hermitage ! She will really show you something fetching and remarkable among so much collections, even more details about their stories and marvelous crafting, which make you can't help to praise. There are so much collections that it is impossible to visit in a day, but Alisa will help you to catch those of brilliance!

Wow, I had a fantastic time with Alisa. The Hermitage is massive. We spent almost 4 hours and barely made a dent in one floor! Without Alisa I would have been stumbling around in the dark but her knowledge and the stories she told illuminated the parts of the building we saw. Alisa was the perfect guide. She even tailored our walk to the Hermitage, passing through parks and pointing out different buildings and statuary. I had a delightful time and will definitely book with her next visit.

Alisa is a world-class expert and a certified Hermitage guide, and she gave me a fantastic private tour of that amazing place. She met me in my hotel and already began her tour there - well before we reached Hermitage! She gave me some fascinating insights into Saint Petersburg metro stations and helped with finding a pharmacy and a money exchange on the way. At Hermitage we skipped the queue and were inside in no time. Alisa's expertise and knowledge combined with her perfect English are just the right combination if you want to be guided round the Hermitage. This place can be hugely overwhelming, especially on a first visit, but with Alisa, the tour is a real pleasure and you don't get the sense that you trying to do the impossible (i.e. see Hermitage in 4 hours!)

Elisa's tour was a joy and her passion for the Hermitage and its art and architecture is a joy to be a part of. There is no way we could have had that level of experience of the Hermitage without her. A really confident young woman who knows her art and history. I would recommend in a heartbeat!

We started at our apartment and did a walked to the Hermitage. On the way, we stopped at several sights and Alisa explained the history of the monuments and locations. Once at the Hermitage, we were able to quickly enter and start the tour right away. Alisa brought us through the major sights and exhibits of the Hermitage and also included her unique insights on some other beautiful pieces of art. She gave us time to experience each room before launching into the history and explanations. This was a wonderful guided tour. Alisa is extremely knowledgeable and engaging. I highly recommend to anyone visiting St Petersburg.
