The experience didn't happen but I still got charged. A few days before the experience the host reached out and said that since I was the only person who signed up they would canacel the experience. / / I later reached out and offered to come volunteer nonehtlesss regardless of the Airbnb connection. However due to time constraints I wasn't able to attend.

I really love my time with Laura, Ken, Juliana and Susan. They were patient, and involved me in many critical aspects of rebuilding the home. The work that they do is crucial for residents of Bayview. For example, our team worked on removing the carpets and installing safety bars in the bath for an elderly lady. These critical home fixes will help her stay in her home much longer. It was cool to see a bit of the neighborhood after at the local brewery. Thanks for letting me be part of that home and project, guys! :)

Laura is smart, friendly and passionate about having a positive impact in the Bayview community. The work that Laura and her team do each week enables people to be safe and stay in their homes longer. It was an honor to join her and other volunteers and contribute to this meaningful project. It was also surprisingly fun getting our hands dirty and working hard on the home remodel. In addition to the work, I loved getting to know a neighborhood in SF I'd never visited previously. From a craft brewery to the store selling masks from Africa, the Bayview surprised and delighted. I definitely recommend this experience for travelers and locals alike!
