What you'll do

Once given the welcome, I will talk about an Orange tree farm, history, soil and water needs, temperatures, different forms of cultivation, different types of irrigation and citrus varieties. Of course I will respond to other curiosities.
After the introduction, we will go to see the farm and taste an orange.
I will show the different ways to collect the oranges, depending on the client or market and we will be ready to start our activity.
In the end, I will offer the visitors a fresh orange juice or a homemade lemonade, a small pot of our orange marmalade and their oranges.
If you come with children under 10, get in touch with me.
Other things to note
The activity will take place in the countryside and it will last around 45 minutes. As it will take place in the farm, please bring confortable clothes and waterproof shoes if posible.

I am a member of a family that has been cultivating oranges and lemons for generations. I have the luck to live in Soller, the orange valley, a privileged environment where there are records of citrus growing since the 10th century.
Our farm, owned by my family since the 13th century is one of the best farms in the area, the cultivation of the orange is transmitted in my family from generation to generation.

We have thoroughly enjoyed the tour of the orange farm. Jaime was very welcoming, his tour was very informative, interactive, and enjoyable. He has answered all our questions and we had a chance to taste different varieties of oranges and mandarins. We would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to learn more about the Valley of Soller and the tradition of orange growing in Mallorca.

Jaime gave us an entertaining, insightful and interesting tour through their family’s orange farm. Situated in a magical estate between the mountains we tried oranges of different varieties, learned about farming and ate a lot of oranges too. He was a very friendly, patient and kind host and we are so happy to have had made this very special and personal experience. You need to see this place! They also have accommodation their and we hope to come back some time.

It’s become so apparent to us that despite assuming otherwise we know little of the food we eat. Thoroughly educational and fascinating and without a doubt the tastiest oranges (of several family varieties) we’ve ever eaten, now we know we can stay there we’ll be back!

For us it was an opportunity to learn about an authentic contemporary life in Mallorca’s countryside, with a beautiful orange orchard in the background. Jaime is very friendly and we were happy to learn about his family’ story and to collect oranges together with our toddler girl. Recommended to make a great memories from the island, taste best fruits and take more home too! So good!
