Hello to everybody! I was born and raised in Athens. I am holding a BA in Archaeology and MA in Cultural heritage management, I also participate in the Antikythera Archaeological Project. Except Archaeology I love the contemporary life of my charming city. My admiration for the Athenian multitemporal and multisensoral hidden gems and my need for sharing led me co- founding Urban Athens Collective. Me and my colleagues we are looking forward for meeting you in order to show you the real Athens creating unique experiences aiming a deeper engagement with the real life of this historical city.

Dionysis is an amazing guide. He knows the subjects extremely well and he also adds his personal passion into his guiding. He made what we saw come alive in a way that allowed me to understand the culture and what I was seeing. I will be back in Greece next year and will definitely seek him out and do another tour of a different aspect of Athens.

The tour was very educational and fun. Dionysis is well informed and makes the tour interesting. He finished the tour with traditional Greek food at a restaurant that he personally enjoyed and had memories at. I would absolutely suggest this tour to anyone who wants to walk with a local and see the Acropolis.

Just book it now!! A truly immersive and interesting way to explore the Parthenon & Acropolis. Unmatched hospitality and local vibe with his guide friends and experts joining us along the way to share their particular expertise and experience with the history we were surrounded by. Anne was awesome at articulating the history and myths of the Acropolis quickly and completely. She could answer anything on the fly. One of my favorite parts was actually that Dionysus got back to me with recommendations with what to do the day before keeping in mind that we were doing this tour, so we didn’t do anything twice. Stay till the end, don’t leave before the local food and treats!!!!! Jealous of you...

I want to be fair and honest so fellow travelers know what to expect. 2 stars is „ok“ on airbnb. It was ok. Not bad, but not super either. Meeting was good. There was an additional guide on the tour, who did the first part on the Akropolis. Sarah was a good guide. Even though I missed a little overall introduction into greek ancient history, the explanations of Sarah were good. She was very open to questions. It was a little unstructured and focused on the things to see in the Akropolis and not too much around it. I would recommend Sarah as a guide and hope, she will offer her own tours soon. After the Akropolis, Sarah left and next to Dionysos appeared a new guy, who looked „alternative“ to use a nice term. I don’t know the role of this guy. He told some stories aswell... The tour was even more unstructured now. There were stories about greek gods, but not easy to follow. We walked through the Anafiotika, which is hard to find as a tourist. So I really liked it. The history of the Roman market was very good told and interesting. We walked down the stairs of Plaka and we all hoped that our restaurant stop would be there... Instead the Kebap at the end of the tour was in a cheap, unfriendly, tourist place next to Monastiraki. The Kebap was good, but not a nice sitting area. I would recommend to skip the free Kebap at the end for 2,50 Euro and use your time to find a nice place for dinner at the plaka steps. I think, there might be guides who are more enthusiastic about their tour. And 60 Euro for a „ok“ tour are too much. Sorry, but this is my honest opinion.

We had an amazing time! My 10 and 15 year old were engaged the whole time. We had 2 guides with our group and they both catered to our preferences. Like splitting for a bit when our legs were too tired! They really went beyond my expectations. Communication was great pre-tour. Thank you!!!

Dionysis s’est montré très attentionné, nous a montré des endroits inconnus et fait découvrir un souvlaki en dehors des sentiers battus. Sans oublier une jolie surprise à la fin.
