What you'll do
This trek is perfect for you who wants to spend 6 hours in a beautiful landscape learning about the history and culture of the people of Sapa. From my home, Indigo Snail Boutique Homestay, we start the trek to the Muong Hoa Valley through the cascading rice fields, we will go deep into the Bamboo Forest. Please wear good gear, especially during rainy days and cold seasons when the trails become quite soft and slippery. Passing through farmlands we will cross waterfalls and streams while encountering locals in their beautiful ethnic attires. The route will then become quite steep both up and down. Please bear in mind that it may be quite difficult for some to do this kind of trek.
Our first stop is approximately after an hour, on a viewpoint to catch our breath and pause. Not to forget, this is an opportunity to take some pictures of the magnificent views and of yourself, of course, while enjoying the surroundings at the same time. We will proceed to an higher altitude for a better view and to keep you active.
Along the way, I will give you insight of our culture and traditions, share with you some personal stories while informing you about our history.
Other things to note
Depending on weather, the paths may be muddier if it had rained the night before or is raining. Please wear appropriate foot wear and dress accordingly.

Was doing this trek on my own and I couldn't ask for more. Sue was absolutely knowledgeable about her area. It was a slightly rainy day, much difficult to walk, especially for someone that trekking for the first time like me, tho Sue nailed it at guiding me through one of the most muddy paths. The views were fantastic, air so fresh that i barely felt tired during the entire time.
Super recommend if you are looking for something original, private yet unique experience while in Sapa.
Plus: Sue speaks English very well, sometimes she forgot that im a Vietnamese, and we spoke in English too. A lot of fun in deed!!

Our family of 5 (3 children 7, 12, and 14) really enjoyed our trek with Sue. She stopped when needed and offered us various trekking option before our departure. We had lots of fun and she was looking after our children all the time. Her English is very good too!

This trek was awesome!! We even got a super filling breakfast of fried bananas and crepes before leaving (was not expecting that!)
We ended up getting a private excursion with Sue's cousin. He was really friendly and knew alot of information - was able to answer all of our questions. I feel like this trek was a little bit more special because we didn't cross paths with any other groups, except when we stopped in the village to eat. It was so peaceful to walk through the rice fields with no other person in sight!! Wow. we loved it. Thank you so much!!
