Carolyn and Sam of DC Design Tours are two history buff architecture nerds with a passion for story telling!
Carolyn is a former architect and life-long lover of all things brick and mortar. She prefers to talk about buildings than draw them. The District has been her home since 2006, and when not guiding, you can find her counting columns at the National Building Museum (there are 152) and traipsing through Rock Creek National Park.
Sam is an enthusiast for architectural design, history, and talking a mile a minute. Originally from the Bluegrass State, he's a full fledged Washingtonian now.

Where you'll be
We'll be visiting the most awe-inspiring landmarks in Washington DC, but peeking behind the stones, looking beyond the bricks, and finding little known secrets among these National icons. The tour begins near the base of the Washington Monument, then proceeds West, past a view of the White House, to the WWII Memorial. Down the reflecting pool, and over to the Vietnam Wall, Korean War Memorial, and finally, the breathtaking Lincoln Memorial.
