The host, Mr. Gillen, was incredibly knowledgeable about the pairings he offered. It was a rare adventure from an expert, reaching far above others pitching local wines in the area. We're had the place to ourselves and I was glad to meet him!

We weren't greeted immediately upon walking in. HOWEVER, there were other customers there. Steve took his time and explained the notes of the wine and how they pair with the chocolates. He laughed and joked with us and made our first "Texas Wine Country" event a hit!

This was a cute little place to stop & learning about wine & chocolate comb. Interesting & tasty. Love that the shop has things like jam to dog treats. Fun date activity for sure. Would totally recommend.

I had a great time chatting with Steve and his friend during the wine and chocolate tasting. There seemed to be plenty of space to spread out for the tour, but since the tour involves drinking and eating be aware that likely no one will be wearing masks. Steve was extremely knowledgeable about the wines and chocolates, and I enjoyed him sharing that with me as I tried the offerings. If you like wine and chocolate pairings, this was a fun time.

We were disappointed with most of the “event”. We were ignored when we first arrived and there were no other customers or guest in the store. One of the employees actually stared at me while the other two were having a discussion. After standing awkwardly waiting for a bit we were almost treated like an annoyance. We did not feel welcomed. After walking around the store awkwardly waiting we just sat at the table where we assumed we were supposed to be and waited about 10 minutes staring at the 5 broken pieces of chocolate on the plate and the plastic cups of wine shits that had been sitting on the open table, in the store, before we even arrived. When we were finally able to begin the tasting it was very awkward as the owner stood next to us while he “explained” the process. Seriously felt like we were a nuisance for signing up. When I tried to ask questions about other things on the tasting menu that was set in front of us we were basically told that he just used what he had open because he wasn’t planning on us being there. If that was the case then I think the reservations should nit have been available for that day and time because I would have loved to save my $60 for a place a lot more friendly and welcoming. The wine didn’t taste bad and neither did the chocolate. The entire process, in our opinion, was absolutely disappointing and not worth the money. It was supposed to be an hour of tasting and discussion about the wines and chocolates and it turned into maybe, a big maybe, 30 minutes. When it was over there was silence as we were stared at for a few minutes so we got up, walked around the store awkwardly not know if that was it. I tried to engage him with a few other questions about the wines available for purchase and just kept recieved very short answers and most of them saying, “there may be some of that over there” with no attempt to engage in a transaction. Very very disappointed.
